Heard the Cut off for Computer Science Last year was 220,
I dont wanna take risk!! they might not decrease the cut-off
so am changing my course to Telecommunication Science

What are my chances of gaining admission with 210 as a score
and course Telecommunication Science
 plus utme subj(s) physics, chemistry, maths, english

hi @all please i scored 246 in my jamb, i choose Unilorin as my 1st and 2nd choice "computer science am ibo what are my chances of gaining add and how can i get the pume past questions? + i heard they are tribalistic.

Hello prospective students of unilorin....I was once in shoes and that was last year and it was stated that the cut off mark for pume then was 220..my brothers,I dnt think dat was followed because I know of many people that were admitted with there score less than 220 nd pume less than 70..Like me for instance,I scored 264 in jamb nd 73 in Pume wanted to study which its cut off was 220..to my greatest surprise,thinking with my high score that I was on merit,my name came out with the third list and not even for the course I wanted whereas people didn't even up to what I scored based on merit...the problem wit d admission there again is that u could be admitted into the dept of ur choice and might later be moved away from d dept to a lower dept even after been cleared...Am a student of the dept of ENGLISH

to those aspiring for admission into the better by far university but had less than 220 in UTME, it is beta to change institution immediately.while am nt sure that allegations of tribalism and religious bias against the skul is based on fact, am sure that the principle of ''who you knowism'' works here lyk other skuls.
for those dt got 220 and above, its not over yet. make sure u study for d pume,get d past questions if possible and be conversant wt a computer. the pume wil lykly b in late july or early august. the olevel u are to use must however b out on or b4 august 14, so no awaiting result for those doing neco and those doing waec shud pray 4 a miracle.
i'll try and answer d questns am capable of answering. i wish u the very best in ur academic pursuits.

@abbeywasc,the 220 mark na wash...I have friends who scored below 220 last year and they were admitted coming in with the 1st list without knowing any1.To all prospective candidates,jst prepare 4 the Pume cuz it is based on general knowledge(English,Math,Current affairs,sciences)...Even after passing jamb and Pume based on merit,a candidate might not be admitted still..I am a WITNESS

Moremony: GOOD STUDENTS OF UNIVERSITY OF ILORIN, I SCORED 236 IN JAMB AND I CHOOSE UNILORIN AS SECOND CHOICE, MY COURSE IS ACCOUNTING..
I KNOW ACCOUNTING IS HIGHLY COMPETITIVE.. CHOOSING THE COURSE AND SCHOOL AS SECOND CHOICE, IS THIS A GOOD IDEA?

Xup people, am new to this thread. i choose unilotin my most prefered first choice course: industrial chemistry. My utme score is 246. I have been writing jamb since 2008, i hope unilorin will nt let me down dis yr.
