later discovered the cut-off is 220.
Immediately, I purchased the change of course form
and changed my course to telecommunication

am also a student of UNILORIN and I met students with scores less than 220 during my registration that were admitted...some are always lucky with the admission though cuz there are a lot of people with a high score in jamb nd Pume dat are still not admitted...

@Tomiwa,i'm sorry i cant tell u d correct combination 4 economics because i'm a science student in d dept of civil engineering.@ dani4luv,once u do d change of course wit jamb,u are on d right track.Less i 4get,it is too early to decide ur chances of getting admitted.Admission into unilorin is in 3 phases1)Good score (2)Luck(mostly when u are in d catchment area) and (3)connection.I av met pple in those 3 categories in skool.To butress my point,a guy was admitted on dis thread last year with exactly 200 and 50 in jamb nd pj respectively.I've also met a girl 4rm oyo state dat doesnt know anybody and was admitted wit 296 nd 88%.It is all by God's grace(though ur little effort counts).For those dat need a standard pq 4 revision,go to challenge bus-stop in Ilorin to get urs 4 just 100naira.Dnt let anyone dupe u.BE WISE! 1A. Due to Low UTME score: After the release of Jamb results, the next thing to face is Post-UTME and Admissions Processing. Now take for instance that someone applied for a Federal University who will probably fix a cut-off mark of 200 and above; if such candidate scored less than 200, it simply means he/she has lost the admission. In this case the change of institution to a state-owned/private University becomes necessary. State universities generally fix cut-off marks below 200 or so.

Due to Low UTME score over Course Cut-Off: Just like case 1A above, this happens when a candidate choose a very competitive course like Law, Medicine and Surgery, Pharmacy, Engineering, etc. Several courses have greater number of Applicants than others and such courses invariably attract very high cut-off marks. To avoid being left aside as a candidate, it is advised to go for change of course within the same institution/faculty. e.g Imagine, You choose Pharmacy in OAU and you Score 230 in Jamb, Then OAU Released their Official Post UTME Cut-off mark for Pharmacy as 260, What you have to do is get the Jamb Change of Course/Institution Card and Change your Course to a less Competitive one like Biochemistry, Industrial Chemistry or any Related Field in OAU.
