I am a young, fresh undergraduate and i want to start a business, I want to start buying clothes, jewelries, Accessories, Bags, Beauty (make ups) ,Dresses, Intimates,Scents, Shoes, Suits & Seperates and Tops from Dubai to sell in Nigeria. How do i go about it? What's the least start up capital. I have a friend who is currently helpingme build a website for my products. I need to know how much a return ticket to Dubai will cost and the least amount of money i can start with at least. I will appreciate it if there's anybody into the same business you can link me with.

How much capital is at your disposal is important before you begin to consider the trip to Dubai? Factor in Visa, flight tickets and hotel accomodation plus miscelleanous expenses. Someone said 2500 dollars already for ticket and visa abi? that translates to about 400,000 naira alone! that means you must have another 600, 000 to be able to at least make some meaningful purchases. As a start up, do u consider ploughing 1m into it?

HAve you already gotten a shop or do you intend to do mobile marketing? If you already have a shop, you might give it a trail but if you want to do mobile marketing, then be aware that people willl be owing you and paying in trickles. Can you manage the funds as they come slowly?

I will first advice you start small. Source your goods locally first and build up a clientelle base before you begin to think of the trip to Dubai.

@ Topic, i reside in dubai but currently in naija, flight ticket and visa, including hotel will cost u like 2500 dollars for 25days staying, it will be better if u have someone over there that u can send money to purchase stuffs for u, in that way, u will save money for tickects and hotels, because the person will only have to send the stuff to u via flight which will be more cheaper.

But first of all, it will be better if u travel for the first time urself to dubai and see how things work, Daira market will be a good start for u to buy things.

As for your ticket and visa, u dont need anybody to get it for u, just take your passport and go to emirate office in V.I, pay the required amount for hotel , ticket and visa, your visa will be out in 5days and u are set to go.
