I noticed that American green card advert on the nairaland website is not from an authentic source. Application for American green card is FREE, however, the website http://www.usagreencardlottery.org/diversityvisalottery_2009/ requires a payment for application. There is a warning about such websites on the original American Visa Lottery website: http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/types/types_1322.html. Don't pay for the visa lottery appliction because it is absolutely free. |

the majority of the advertisement on NL are fake so people should becareful when checking these websites out. |

its not the websites fault. if you go to yahoo, myspace, or msn.com, they have a lot of false advertisement banners. its just the internet and we should try to avoid it. |

I totally disagree!! Website adminstrators, like other forms of mass media should check the auhenticity of advertisers before accepting payments for their advertisements. When website domain names are registered, relevant details about the website owner are obtained. You cannot anonymously register a website. This incidence has raised a lot of doubts (in my mind) about the integrity of the nairaland website. |
