Tanker caught fire and burnt hundreds watching a football match in Congo during the World Cup in South Africa

The incident captured in the link above has been used severally to paint a very bad picture of Islam. No doubt, Islam has its extremists. And we know that extremists existed during the time of the prophet (PBUH) who cautioned them about their excesses. But this incident has nothing to do at all with Islam

But the desperation leading people to concoct lies gives me cause for worry. While the normal human reaction is that of pain and grief, what some chose to see is an opportunity to "score" a religious point. If what they are canvassing is the truth, does it need a bodyguard of lies?
