The Bibel is talking about 'The Old Man in Eph. 4 : 21 please what do you understand about it.

Ephesians 4:22 -- "That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts"

There are two other texts where we find the perculiar term "old man" in relation to our former lifestyle:

Romans 6:6 - "Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin."

Colossians 3:9 - "Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds"

In simple terms it refers to that which appertains to our former principle of living: the life that derives from the nature and experiences of what belongs to "Adam". In its character, it is "corrupt" and only issues forth in serving sin.

It's counterpart is what is known as "new man" --

Ephesians 4:24 - "And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness."

Colossians 3:10 - "And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him"

The characteristics of these two principles of life are presented closely:

* the 'old man' is corrupt
* the 'new man' is created in righteousness and true holiness.

Old man that the bible is talking about can easily be appreciated if you got the experience.

There is a life of sin that we are born into. That tendencies to Sin will be there because the body is vulnerable to every temptation from the devil.

But with accepting Christ, and genueine repentance, you are Born again of Water and Spirit. then you become a Spirit Man one no more under the influence of the Sinful nature. There will be temptation but you are fortified against falling into them.

That is why the Old man is dead and behold it has been reborn to new.

It is an experience that might not be appreciated except a step is taken towards this.
