Muslim fasting: 14 hours(5.00 am to 7.00pm). That's all. However, in some instances, when I don't eat sahur(midnight food), I do 21 hours(10pm-7pm next day)

Please be careful with what you are doing, I'm glad that you have people who are checking up on you who are close by and your mum is a medic, but there are still risks. I hope you guys have a back up plan for your eventual feeding (i.e liquidised or intravenous) because in the worst case scenario if you leave it too late you could be too weak/unable to even physically eat when you decide to you've had enough of your experiment.

Another important consideration: try not to overcompensate your hunger by drinking too much water as too much water consumption can also be fatal.

They say that the human body can go on average a maximum of 3 weeks without any food and only about 3 days without any water, but personally I have only ever tried to go about 2-3 days without food, as I love food too much and I am fortunate enough to not be without . Good luck in your endeavours!

A month ago around early febuary i engaged on a dry fast for 4days 4night. Exactly 96hrs. This is no lie!
The first two days was'nt easy for me, (Being that i'm doing it for the first time ever) but after the first two days of prayer and fasting, the third day became ease, though my joint became weaker but my mind grew stronger and my thinking faculty became very sharp, the third and the fourth day, i began to see the entire world in a new dimention.
I began to see the the vanity in things men pursue after, i then realise that man often spend the number of his life following after perishables which i saw as vanity, i for the first time saw life in a new dimention.
It was a wonderful experience indeed.
I wish everyone would experince it for themselves. [/size]

@OP, comon go and eat jor, use the internet for the information you need about what happens when a person starves; you wil get accurate researched information there from people that studied things like that. Besides you cannot carry out an experiment on yourself and expect that the results you get from it is the same results you will get for everybody else; people react differently under different conditions so while you might be able to go for three days without food, another person will be able to go for seven or more.
Therefore, use statistical findings to know the result of your experiment since they average such things and don't use individual findings.
Unles you just like getting attention from anonymous people so if thats the case, please coninue your punishment.

I've gone 3 days without water or food, when i was doing some prayers,boy! was it hectic the 1st 2days,buh by the third day i was just seriously weak buh pulled through.its necessary sometimes not just for spiritual connection to our maker,buh also on health grounds, guess youve heard of the popular maxim,man must not live by bread alone,

I boy kudos, I CAN'T DO IT! Used to tell my mum that if ulcer is as a result of not eating, I will never have them. But sometimes when programming, I eat breakfast by 6pm. But O can't do it consciously.

when i was teenager i went without food for 5 days because me and my boyfriend were quarelling! 5 solid days on only water!  love will make one do the stupidest thing. While i was wasting away and dying of headaches, he was eating chicken and fried rice!    Never again! No man is worth me starving to death. Now i know why my mom called me "love anu-ohia"
