Please is it just me? any time i see hispanic/latino dishes, it always look yummy, but taste really funny.

I guess a lot of people will say the same about our food, that it looks nasty and sure tastes nasty. Hispanics are very much like us in terms of diet, they eat rice, plantain and beans. Apart from their snack foods like tortilla and salsa.

it tastes different is more like it, not that it doesn't taste good.

Which foods you specifically refer?
The people differ in their tastes, that's logical, but Spanish food and / or South America is very tasty.
There are very traditional tortillas, paella (rice with seafood and meat) , Mediterranean cuisine is varied and tasty.
