50 Cent (c.)  visits children in the Kibera slum of Nairobi, Kenya on Thursday, Feb. 9.

NAIROBI, Kenya — Rapper 50 Cent is teaming up with the World Food Program to see firsthand the effects of hunger in Somalia and Kenya.

The rap star flew to Dolo, Somalia, on Wednesday. Tens of thousands of women and children have fled there over the last year to flee a devastating famine that killed tens of thousands of people across Somalia.

WFP said the rapper, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, has committed to provide 1 billion meals for the hungry, and is donating to WFP 10 cents from every sale of a new energy drink called Street King that he is promoting.

The U.N. last week declared an end to Somalia’s six-month famine, though it said tens of thousands of people still need food aid to survive. The British government estimates that between 50,000 and 100,000 people died from the famine’s effects.

Madonna went to Malawi, she adopted two children, promised to build a £2M school for the village, the owners of the land she wanted to build the school on were chased away from the land, they were not paid a penny for the land, Madonna who is reportedly worth £300m did not contribute a penny to the school, instead she held a fund raising at the UN headquaters which was sponsored by Polo Ralph, about £2M was raised, the money was spent on administation, staff wages, first class tickets, and guess what the land is empty, no school has bn built, not even the foundation, the Villages are angry but Madonna does not give a hoot about them,

despite billions raised for Africa, thousands are dying everyday, the money is spenty on execessive wages for charity Executives, NGO's, corrupt politicians, consultants and middle men.

despite the UK public and goverrnemnt raising £70M to Haiti, the citizens are still living in shacks, according to a documentary on Al Jazeera about aid to Haiti after the disaster, 80% of the money donated went to wages for NGo's, the NG0's spent time doing logitics, no help with food or sanitation.
