The R1 was introduced in 1998 model year and sales continued for the 1999 model year

The 2000-01 model bike had the Deltabox II design body (fairing)
The bike advertised above is a 2000-01 Yamaha R1 ( I should know because I owned and rode the same model in the EXACT colours between 2007 and 2008)

The 2002-03 R1 came in mostly Grey and black with sharper features.
Note that the Yamaha lettered logo on the tank changed to the Yamaha Tuning Fork logo and this was first seen on the 2002 model

The 2004-06 also sharpened looks and included more exciting colour schemes
This was the first time Yamaha introduced the Under seat dual exhaust and this design continues till this day

The 2007-08 R1 included a redesigned body and fly by wire technology
I owned and rode the 2008 R1 from December 2009 to February 2011

The 2009-2010 R1. Note the redesigned 'solo' headlights

That's a hell of bike you got there in the picture, it is equivalent to V-ROD in all capacity. Nice taste for Harley! Take a look at  Superbike 1199 Panigale S - 2012 and Triumph Thunderbird 1212( I am dying to own this bike)

Oga Shagati am thinking of buying some used power Bike for resale in 9ja , which type of Power Bike model/year are in HOT demand that people might prefer and whats there selling price range

Most peeps who complain that power bikes are a shortcut to heaven still take okadas on highways( with or without a cheap plastic helmet not well fitted to their heads).the most dangerous issue is that they put their life in the rider's hands( as a friend of mine recently fell from a bike cos d rider was epileptic, u dont know d health and family history of d bike man mind u).So why dont u go ahead,get one for ur self,learn how to ride responsibly,avoid major highways and save precious time.
I dont take bikes as i prefer driving and being held up for hours than putting ma life in a bike man's hands, but im definitely getting a power bike soon as i feel thats d way to go!
