a defensive midfielder that contributes attack wise will always be an added advantage. If being a defensive minded player is all about defending, then why are fullbacks with impressive attacking stats celebrated more than others? TAA vs AWB comes to mind.

Barcelona had to play in the qualification to make the UCL in 2009, so much for a world-class team. Pep guardiola lost his first game as a Barcelona manager and drew the next one and I could remember Mourinho fan boys were already preaching doom for Barcelona and the young manager but because he went on to perfect this team and did what no manager had done before in the history of the game and also beating their favourite manager SAF to a UCL trophy, they want to us believe it was all rosy for him right from time.
