Freiburg coach Christian Streich does not expect a repeat of the 7-0 Bundesliga hammering his side received from Bayern Munich earlier this season when the teams meet again at the Dreisamstadion tomorrow.

Streich, who was assistant to Marcus Sorg back then, insists his players have not been scarred by the September rout.

"It was a very important game for Bayern back then and they desperately needed to win it so that they could go into the Champions League with a good win,'' he said.

"They were totally focused and it was definitely a difficult day for us when you experience something like that as a footballer.

"But I don't think it has left its mark. So many games have been played since then.''

The large margin of victory did, however, reflect a gulf between the two sides which is now evident in the Bundesliga.

Bayern are in second place with 44 points while Freiburg are propping up the table with just 17.

However, that does not necessarily mean Bayern will turn Freiburg over once again.

"We are going to have to be at our very best,'' said their coach Jupp Heynckes at the pre-match press conference.

"Of course Freiburg have weaknesses and it is up to us to exploit them.

"We want to continue our trend from the last two games.''

Bastian Schweinsteiger will be missing again for Bayern with David Alaba replacing him, while Freiburg have Gara Dembele back from the African Nations Cup and available for selection.
