Please I want to know if NYSC require original GCE certificate from WAEC for clearance in the camp. Please, help me out. I am for this 2012 batch 'A'.

U do not need it.

things u need are:

1. About 12 pieces of your passport.
2.your original call-up letter.
3. Photo copies of your certificates: birth,Degree,

4.White shorts and tops. (you will given in camp also)

Why would you go to camp with your WAEC or any O' level result, The only credential being asked to produce for verification at the camp is your higher institution certificate or statement of result, Dont go to the camp with unnecessary documents, Make sure u shine your eyes wella while at camp, Wish u d best!!!

Here comes a silly Question:; Is the NYSC necessary at all? IMO, its a waste of 1 year for most persons.

LMAO i cnt believe some ppl are nt graduates here, they are illiterate & carelessly give out info without a thought for wat so ever. lol hw can u go with ur GCE certificate whn the degree result ur holding hv clarified dat u're a graduate?, in other words ur GCE was ur prerequisite in entering the univ and without which u couldnt hv been a graduate talk more of going for service. No damn GCE is required! Even in higher learning, when u obtained ur second degree in masters u wouldnt need ur first degree. U only present the degree u currently obtained. The only diff is that in ur CV they would see that u're a graduate of so so & so university. But wat they look up to would be ur current certificate of which ur last certificate became a prerequisite for it

U dont need ur gce or waec cert. All u need is ur original university statement of result, call up letter and school id card. Am batch C 2011 dat just left camp.

In my statement of result a letter of my name was omitted, i hope it wont affect me?

really you dont need it but remenber our leaders are so confused and may ask for irrelevant documents just to prove they are in charge.
pls go with all academic/ non academic docs such as phcn bills, C of O, proof of ownership, fare tickets etc.

This is naija, some overzealous officials go even ask for your birth certificate sef . lol am just kidding. Carry everything go joor, originals for one side, and photocopies for anoda side in case of " incasities"
