How Would Churches Cope With This Our New Cashless Society?

On Sunday during offertory while in church, I started wondering as I gave my own offering.

How would churches cope with the whole cashless Nigeria ? It is obvious that most churches collect over N150,000 on a daily basis. Would they resort to having vaults in the premises or start passing round POS machines instead of the traditional baskets? Or perhaps they wouldn't mind paying what ever the CBN directs as its not their own money! Fellow Nairalands which way do you think churches would go?

Most of 'em pastors will fight with their last blood to make sure ATM Machines are installed in their churches.

Cashless or no cashless Nigeria, you must sha have atm card to withdraw your offering or tithe.

Most of them will accept the 10% charge. Unlike traders, their profits don't come from huge volumes and thin margins. LOL at the image of "passing around POS machines"

P.o.s., cheques and direct lodgement into church a/c would be encouraged. I believed God will teach those pastors what to do. Pls still bring all monies to church, leave how it's been handled for the leadership.

Very soon churches will go totally virtual. There will be no need to dress up on sundays to go to church because church will be brought to your door step. When that time comes you'll hear conversations like this:

Nkechi: Bimbo, how are you?

Bimbo: I'm fine. I just got married to a pator

Nkechi: Really? What church does he pastor?

Bimbo: He pastors www.Jesusislord.com. You should worship with us sometime. Where do you worship currently?

Nkechi: We no longer attend www.chinekebueze.com. Our new church is www.freshannointingfromheaven.net.
Re: Cashless Nigeria: How Would Churches Cope? by nwanioma(f): 7:52pm On Mar 05, 2012
^^^ cheesy cheesy cheesy

If they don't mind paying the 10% it simply means that they would have to encourage their customers members to donate more, as am sure they wouldn't want to reduce their cash inflow.

Can't stop laughing at POS being passed round in church!! grin

Anything 2 move d ministry out of it's temporary ground won't be hindered by d directive rather save d ministry from faceless church thieves always stealing from d cash basket
