... wear a bright color.. a pop of color(s) makes an outfit less serious.  ... Jumpsuit and a blazer; with heels. ... a knee-length, ballgown-ish dress. ... a shirtdress. Be careful of the choice of fabric and the fit of the dress (if you decide to wear one). You don't want to look like you're going to a club. |

A simple gown and a sling back to match might do the magic. It makes u look semi-formal. |
