Emmanuel, God Among Us... by Alylola: 2:21pm On Mar 12, 2012
hi everyone! first, could you please tell which one is the right translation for this verse:Romans 14:4

King James version:
"Who art thou that judgest another man's servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand."

New Living Translation:
"Who are you to condemn someone else’s servants? Their own master will judge whether they stand or fall. And with the Lord’s help, they will stand and receive his approval."

New King James Version:
"Who are you to judge another’s servant? To his own master he stands or falls. Indeed, he will be made to stand, for God is able to make him stand."

English Standard Version:
"Who are you to pass judgment on the servant of another? It is before his own master that he stands or falls. And he will be upheld, for the Lord is able to make him stand."

New American Standard Bible:
"Who are you to judge the servant of another? To his own master he stands or falls; and he will stand, for the Lord is able to make him stand."

now, if you've read up to here, my point is this: in general, the verse above is about a servant'standing or falling that should not be judged by others for the Lord is able to make that servant stand again; now, what I would like to know concerning this very verse is this: is the servant a servant of the Lord? because when it says that the Lord is able to make the servant stand, it is obvious that this verse is talking about the servant of the Lord; also, if you go back to the different translations above, the King James version has attracted my attention as it says "Who art thou that judgest another man's servant?" in other words, the King James is saying that the servant here is a MAN' s servant(or the servant belong to a man) which makes me think that the Lord is in fact a MAN; and we know that Jesus called himself "son of man" and finally, knowing that since 2000 years the kingdom of God has come down on the earth, it suggests that Emmanuel, "God among us" has been living among his people, could it be that a man among us is just HIM? shocked shocked (sorry if it seems complicated but it's understandable)
