I want u guys 2 help me on this, i want to upload a files like music to my website so dat wen people click on d download link i will place there ît will b autômatically downloaded. Say file in a folder like wamp/lyrics/music/onlyme.mp3, how do i do it??

Upload the file into your root directory (public_html or www) and reference the file with an anchor tag.
Assuming you uploaded to a directory on your root directory called "music". The download link will be

http://yoursite.com/music/your_music.mp3

An anchor link to is will be <a href="http://yoursite.com/music/your_music.mp3">Download</a>

Ask more questions if you are unclear about anything.

Dual said it all and correct but I think it will be necessary and not compulsory but better to create a new directory for the download purpose so that your root folder will not be messed up!

so create a new directory and name it "downloads", upload a music into it, let say you upload "music.mp3" into it and your domain name is domain.com, then the download link will be http://domain.com/downloads/music.mp3

The bug on NL2 disfigured the anchor syntax in my above post but its good you understand.

Be sure to offer music for public downloads that are yours or that you have the rights to offer. Copyright infringements can put you and your webhost at risk.
