l was in Nigeria in March 2012 to register for NYSC but unfortunately after 17days in Abuja it was not fixed so l had to fly back to my foreign base. It is almost end of April 2012 and l am still not sure when the registration will commence. Can someone please help me with detail of when d registration will commence for students who studied overseas.

@luvola how come Lasu mobilization list came out before the stipulated time on the time table. Are you so sure it was from NYSC or from LASU...

hmmmmmm,
NYSC is a bitter sweet experience, its not a bed of roses at all.
So if I were u guys, I would prepare myself mentally for the challenges,
But it is fun when u have mastered the stress.
As for influencing your posting, please do understand that it does not affect where u will be posted to within the state, so u berra be sure of the state u want to go to.
It is a year of service, so prepare ür mind for that, trust me if u face NYSC with the right frame of mind you will get the best out of it, but if u are already too worried about trivial issues then its gonna be one very useless period for u.
Wherever u find urself during ür service year, try and give ür best.
For those looking for career enhancement, I think u have the right mindset already, just try to get a good state that has what u are looking for.
as for private companies please forget the matter, if your friend tells u he is serving in a private firm there is something he is not telling you.
he might be working there and serving elsewhere, just like what I am doing.
NYSC will not post u to a private firm. Even if your father is the CEO of the company.
Because to the best of my knowledge in ogun state where I am, the posting policy was adhered to.
Finally let God guide you, its not gonna be easy, but its gonna be fun. Believe in urself and create a value for yourself, in your environment. I wish u all the best.

i dnt realy knw d deadline for submission but i waS purportedly beep ystrday that our mobilisation list was pasted and my name was on the list.hope to collect my notification of result next week. i really need help to influence my posting to ogun or lag. add me on f.b - ola aol. any help peeps

accordin to d time table, mobilization lists will be delivered to institutions from 21st - 24th may. so, u can go n check ur name in ur schl anytime from 25th may. Goodluck.

To me dat NYSC BATCH B TIMETABLE uploaded on this forum is not AUTHENTIC cos the dates does not tally with previous timetable to me it is a forged document until NYSC upload the real timetable i'll keep my fingers crossed

@jekks I think I will go with you man. We gat to reason atimes. It doesn't look real to me too. But @ least guys are happy that there is assurance. Someone also claimed to be working with nysc told me 28th of april which is today is the final deadline for submission of masters list by institutions. But, come to think of the sketch one we have on page 4...really look like it! Orientation should be first week and not second unless there wld be 2 shemes this time. LASU guys claimed to hv seen their mobilization list and some other schools. How come their school has the list ready and pasted before the time on the timetable!!! Let's see how the real thing unfolds soon. Very interrseting anyways. Kudos to u guys...

u're makin sense sha but some schls paste names b4 even sendin to nysc. it is done to enable graduates proceed wit clearance. works dat way in my schl.

D timetable hd a grt diff 2me too bt i tot mayb its because d dg of nysc chnged; dts y he probably changd d format. Anyway lets luk out n wait patiently 4it 2b officialy pasted on d net, i gues dt wil clear our doubts

Thanks for the information...l am finally happy. l will start making preparations to come down to Nigeria to fix things. Coming to Nigeria to register for NYSC can be really stressful and difficult for most of us foreign trained and based students. l hope this time around things will be smooth and my registration will be done. My first visit in March 2012 was almost a waste of funds,energy and time as l spent 17 days in Abuja running around to sort things out but all to no avail. Can anyone pls advice on how to easily sort out things so my next visit will be fruitful? Thanx in advance.
