National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine started its international activities in 1950.

Since that time more than 3000 foreign students from 89 countries all over the world have graduated from the University and got scientific degrees in different fields of agricultural sciences, forestry, fishery, and veterinary medicine. More than 500 graduates have obtained Candidate of Sciences and Doctor of Sciences degrees.

For considerable contribution into international cooperation of NUBiP of Ukraine 30 famous scientists were conferred the title "Honorary Doctor of NUBiP" and 51 - "Honorary Professor of NUBiP of Ukraine".

Close cooperation with leading universities of the world allowed modifying education system of NUBiP of Ukraine according to the market relations and its harmonization with the requirements of the most prominent universities of the world. Iowa State University (USA) in 1996, Louisiana State University (USA) in 1998, Ghent University (Belgium), and Humboldt University of Berlin (Germany) in 2002 endorsed NUBiP of Ukraine education system as comparable with those of them.
