Hey guys quick question please. What do you think of a 2001 Nissan Altima, it is a problematic car? It is good for as an every car here in Naija? Do you know anybody that has a sad experience with the car and what exactly what this problem?

The car has got all the works from Leather seat, factory alloy, 6 CD changer in the trunk, electrick moon roof, auto drive, keyless entry and the remove starts the car.

Your candid advice, comments and constructive criticism will be highly appreciated.

its a nice car.the prize is ok,not a penny more though.nissan is an excellent car but maintenance is expensive.i dt know abt the brain box,dat might be the only issue coz it'll be time straining to find a reliable one-bt dats a problem with most modern cars

before u buy the car make a note of the following:

mileage - usually i don't go for a car which is above 150,000km, and that is pushing it.

make sure there are no rust anywhere on the car.

check the engine condition.

or better still, i'll send u a manual about what to look after when buying used cars if u give me ur email addy.

I just bought a 98/99 Nissan Altima (full option,leather seat,factory fitted ac,automatic) for that same amount.Does that mean it was overpriced?

Mileages could be rolled back. There is no certainty in it. Strain on the chasssis will tell you a lot about the vehicle. Consider rust and ask for maintenance record. Never buy a car without a maintenance record.

Ivvie, pls I drive a 1993, Benz E500, and noticed of late, when I put on the AC, the car will start to over heat. What possibly could be wrong here

I have this same Nissan altima, but the 1994 model. from1994-2000 use the same engine including the infiniti G20. They use the KA24DE engine. These engines dont die,, i have abused this car, but still drives like charm. Mine is 360000kms and i still drive it regularly from toront0 to maryland to see my aunt. Nissan engines always kills it, and did i mention these things are fast. I can still still pull 100km/h in 2nd gear with no roll-start. I am a nissan guy and always will be. I currently own a 1994 nissan altima, 1995 nissan maxima, 2002 nissan maxima, all are stick. i dont do automatics. ITS ALWAYS AND ALWAYS BETTER THAN TOYOTA
As far as the old owner always does the oil change, then u are fine. Let me know if u have any questions concerning Nisssan

Nissan and infiniti bascically use the same engines. For example., 2002-2009 nissan maxima-2003-2009nissan altima, 2003-2009 nissan quest, murano 2004-present, infinti G35. They all use the same V6 engine. Nissan got the best V6 in the world. Its on wards engine 10 best list from 1995 - 2008. U have to drive it to see it. It keeps on pushing and pushing.They are very reliable, and u can swap the engines between cars, the only differnceis that u cant swap RWD G35 with FWD nissan maxima. cus the G35 is more banked to the rear. Let me know if there is anything u need to know.
Am a student in ottawa and there is a reason we buy nissan, they are faster than toyota, acura and honda.
