I was going through the 9ija immigration web site,I accidentally came across a link advertizing visa on arrival,has anyone heard of it or used it,pls share your on view on it.Am looking forward to visiting soon.

Visa on arrival is fairly common. Many countries that rely on tourism or wants to promote tourism but don't want outright visa free enterance practice such. For example, some European nationals visiting Uganda can pay visa fee at the airport/border and be given a visa right there. No need to go to host country embassy first.

Others are countries that have relatively few embassies worldwide like tiny countries that do not wish to allow third countries to issue visas on their behalf or don't want to use honorary consuls to issue visas.
