Every year thousands of International students are offered admission placements in Norway regardless of their Continent or State of Origin. While certain percentage of the total students admitted are reserved for citizens of the European Union, we cannot but appreciate this unique extended to International Students.
Despite the fact that some European Countries have been providing tuition free education to international students for programs taught in either their Lingua franca or in English Language for over 20 years, majority of should-be international applicants are still in disbelieve or naïve in their approach to securing a placement thereby resulting in persistently low number of International applicants especially applicants from developing countries.
Most Universities in Norway engaged in pre-application process which is usually not as heavily publicized as the admission placement but is equally important. Pre-application is usually used to determine the number of would-be applicants and also the expected ratio from different part of the globe amongst others. Note that only Master degree programs are available to International students; tuition free.
Over the years, Significant number of students who engaged in the pre-application process usually end up gaining an admission placement unlike their fellow counterpart who just registered only when the admission windows opens.
Pre-application usually takes place 3-4 months prior to the opening of the admission windows and application period is usually very short, in most cases applicants are not usually aware of these dates until few days or even after the deadline.
