EN ROUTE TO PARADISE By Angaye Da Afrikan Sonnet Mothers’ heart Quietly ticks Sorrow thrives silently Decadence suffocates world Burying innocence She shivers Her temperament rises Hurt prolongs All the treasures eventually decay in the slow period of time Eclipse of sorrow derails the thought Moon echoes hope Light paints darkness Plots of the stars Trails us a route to paradise Å star dies Soul travels on route to paradise Earth mourns angel Heaven buries a saint Copyright Angaye Da Afrikan Sonnet Poems 2012 |
