The virgin conception of Jesus explained

Prophecies about a virgin to give birth to the messiah are stated below

A- Isaiah 7:14- "Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign. Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel."

B-Luke 1:34-35 "And Mary said to the angel, “How will this be, since I am a virgin?”And the angel answered her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; therefore the child to be born will be called holy—the Son of God."

From Matthew chapter 1, we can see that Joseph wanted to break away from the marriage after he found out that Mary was pregnant but an angel appeared to him saying Matthew 1:20 "“Joseph, son of David, do not fear to take Mary as your wife, for that which is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit."

Since the bible prophesied that Jesus will come from the line of David, is there no error here since Joseph did not sleep with her before she gave birth to Jesus? NO! There is no error.
The family tree of Mary, the mother of Jesus is recorded. Mary was a direct descendant of David, not through the lineage of King Solomon, upon whom the curse of Jeconiah fell, but through another son of David named Nathan in Luke 3:23-31 "Jesus, when he began his ministry, was about thirty years of age, being the son (as was supposed) of Joseph, the son of Heli, the son of Matthat, the son of Levi, the son of Melchi, the son of Jannai, the son of Joseph, the son of Mattathias, the son of Amos, the son of Nahum, the son of Esli, the son of Naggai, the son of Maath, the son of Mattathias, the son of Semein, the son of Josech, the son of Joda, the son of Joanan, the son of Rhesa, the son of Zerubbabel, the son of Shealtiel, the son of Neri, the son of Melchi, the son of Addi, the son of Cosam, the son of Elmadam, the son of Er,the son of Joshua, the son of Eliezer, the son of Jorim, the son of Matthat, the son of Levi, the son of Simeon, the son of Judah, the son of Joseph, the son of Jonam, the son of Eliakim, the son of Melea, the son of Menna, the son of Mattatha, the son of Nathan, the son of David,"

The genealogy written in Matthew Chapter 1 was the one of Joseph while the one in Luke 3 is about Mary. Luke's genealogy starts at Adam and goes to David. Matthew's genealogy starts at Abraham and goes to David. When the genealogies arrive at David, they split with David's sons: Nathan (Mary's side?) and Solomon (Joseph's side).

Every human child has been born with an inherited sin nature and sinful flesh (Romans 8:3). This is a result of our sinful first parents, Adam and Eve to whom we are all genetically related.
Remember that Jesus was referred to as the last and second Adam.Jesus came in form of a human as the last/second Adam. And just like the first Adam, he had no sin nature, no inherited sin, no sinful flesh which made him the perfect sacrifice for our sins.

-1 Corinthians 15:47 "In The first man was from the earth, a man of dust; the second man is from heaven."

What happened in the womb of Mary was a supernatural act like miracles which are above physical or scientific laws.

Mary was a virgin before she conceived and gave birth to Jesus

Mary gave birth to other children that were not conceived of the holy spirit as Joseph was now free to perform his duty as a husband as shown in the verses below

A-Mark 6:3 "Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary and brother of James and Joses and Judas and Simon? And are not his sisters here with us?” And they took offense at him."

B-Galatians 1:18-19 "Then after three years I went up to Jerusalem to visit Cephas and remained with him fifteen days. But I saw none of the other apostles except James the Lord’s brother."

C-John 2:12 "After this he went down to Capernaum, with his mother and his brothers and his disciples, and they stayed there for a few days."

Is it not obvious that Mary never had sexual intercourse with anyone before she gave birth to Jesus? What's your point? SMH

ROMANS 1 VS 3 Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh; according to the flesh means ' by birth'. Joseph was of the lineage of King David by the flesh ( by birth ) and Jesus was the seed of King David by the flesh ( by birth ), hence Joseph slept with mary to produce the messiah because mary was not of King David by the flesh ( by birth )

its because of people like you mis-interpreting the bible that a lot of people think the bible is a ridiculous book of fairy-tales. i bet you also think the talking snake in the book of genesis is a real snake huh ?
