A hospital building currently under construction in Benin City has collapsed.
The building came down at about 4pm on Monday while construction workers were still on site.
Three persons are believed to be trapped under the rubble.
It is not yet clear what led to the collapse.
Rescue workers are trying to bring out the trapped victims, including an expatriate.
Top government officials in the state, led by the deputy governor, Dr. Pius Odubu, are supervising the rescue operation.

Accidents happen. They are caused. Here, most likely bad structural work,inferior quality materials or the likes.

I live in benin, one whiteman confirm dead.after long hours of searching for missing persons.

I want to thank you all for all your contribution. The building did not collapse only some portion of the upper floor scatter because the craine use in conveying the concrete mistakenlly hit where the concrete was pour and it scatter. Secondly, it is seven people that was rush to the hospital not three..
