The University of Lagos Senate at
its Emergency Meeting of
Monday, June 11, 2012 convened
to review the recent suspension
of academic activities, resolved
that:
1. a. all academic activities should
resume on Monday, June 18,
2012.
b. accordingly, the Halls of
Residence will be re-opened on
Sunday, June 17, 2012 at 4.00
p.m.
2. The University Senate also
resolved that:
a. “the proposed re-naming of
the University of Lagos is not
acceptable and is rejected in its
entirety as it is a mere
declaration of intention with no
legal effect.
b. the University of Lagos Senate
supports all legal processes
being carried out by all
stakeholders on the subject”.
