Today is the feast of St Anthony of Padua.An eloquent preacher and prolific worker of miracles.He was a disciple of saint francis of asisi.

So marvellous were the works God used him to achieve that he was canonised in just nine months,the fastest in the history of the church.
He brought vitality to the christian faith in the thirteenth century.
