GENERAL MANAGER-ADVERTISING AGENCY THE ROLE Reporting to the Chairman, the General Manager will take prime responsibility for developing new business and generating sales to ensure the Group’s growth, profitability, prosperity and sustainability as well as increasing efficiency and effectiveness. This role is for a seasoned and qualified professional with leadership skills in business development, organizational development, strategic planning and change management. In addition, he will • Manage the operations, human and financial assets of the agency • Achieve budgeted financial goals and grow the agency’s revenue share • Manage and develop a high performance team, maintaining a positive and proactive working environment that encourages efficient team working. • Train, manage, and motivate all agency personnel including the sales/marketing team • Develop non-traditional revenue sources • Manage and maintain the employee relations and agency relations • Manage and control sales revenue by developing strong relationships with clients • Lead Agency Pitches to Prospective Clients and Grow Agency Top line Revenue • Write In-Depth, Very Strategic, Metrics Based Proposals • Develop and Articulate In-Depth, Very Strategic Integrated Marketing Programs • Meticulously Execute and Manage every communication element of Advertising and Marketing REQUIREMENTS Bachelor’s degree in social sciences and clearly a quality MBA would be an added advantage. Must be a Registered Member of APCON Must have a minimum of 8+ years' senior management advertising agency experience and a thorough knowledge of strategy, media and creative development. Must be an expert in advertising analysis Possess exceptional ability to develop advertising results in business financial modeling and business reports. Strategic mindset, strong leadership, motivational, presentation and negotiation skills. Exposure to regulatory requirements would be an added advantage. Expert Level Advertising and Marketing Experience Expert with Brand Development and Positioning Expert at Developing, Selling and Executing Integrated Marketing/Advertising Programs for large clients Extensive experience writing high-level strategic proposals, marketing communications plans and the ability to sell those plans through Strong, persuasive written and verbal communication skills are critical - including the ability to present in front of groups. Ability to work independently in a team environment, and possessing strong analytical, organizational, supervisory and interpersonal skills. New business skills are necessary to assist with agency growth. Must be very visible with a professional appearance and highly respected. Ideal age should be between 40-50 years.
