Worried by the spate of violence in some parts of northern Nigeria, the wives of the 19 northern state governors under the aegis of Northern Governors’ Wives Forum, have appealed to the Boko Haram sect members to sheath their swords and enter dialogue with the Federal Government. The Vanguard newspaper reports that the plea was made in a statement at the end of an emergency meeting the group called to find solutions to the spate of killings and level of insecurity in parts of the region.
