1. Following the ongoing assessment and accreditation exercise by the National University Commission, both ESUT and ABSU satellite campuses located in Aba metropolis has been temporarily SHUTDOWN due to poor infrastructural facilities.

2. It has been reported that about 2, 000 members of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) in Lagos, led by Mr Abdulkareem Rafiu, a former security aide to Gov. Babatunde Fashola, on Saturday last week defected to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

However, Plateau State government has imposed curfew in some major part of the State to calm the situation.

32 year old Malian footballer, Seydou Keita has signed a two-and-a-half-year deal with Dalian Aerbin of China after leaving Barcelona. He will be earning roughly €14-million from the deal.

It was a glorious weekend for Nigerian handball as the country on Saturday emerged the World U- 14 handball champion in Sweden.
