Playing Left 4 Dead on a PS Vita by jerricho(m): 2:39pm On Jul 09, 2012
I had been patiently waiting for SONY to release a firmware which would allow me to play PS3 games on a PS Vita using Remote Play till I stumbled upon an exciting video on YouTube. The video is a little pixellated but I'm not complaining at all—and you shouldn't too—I'm too busy being bamboozled. I haven't the vaguest idea how this technical wizard managed to get Left 4 Dead up and running using the Remote Play functionality and PlayStation Mobile. Apparently, he used the PlayStation Suite to (somewhat miraculously) run Left 4 Dead on a PC, while displaying and controlling the game on a Vita, with no lag whatsoever. See for yourselves:

The responsiveness is rapid. The motion control is magically captivating. Incredibly smooth are the only two words I can use to describe the frame-rate.
I've always liked the idea of Remote Play, but in my experience on the PSP, it was always too laggy to be enjoyable. This is what next-gen gaming is all about.
