I would rate the leagues as follows: 1) Tunisia 2) Ghana (have you watched these guys? Their ball control and distribution is second to none. Our players need to learn basic skills from their Ghanaian Premier League counterparts). 3) Nigeria 4) Egypt SA is way down. Those guys just have the money. Skill levels are very low. 1 Like |

When we consistently win African champions league, then we fit claim say we get the best league in Africa. Till then.... We haven't won since Enyimba, but at least we were runner up. Not bad. |

T-smooth: I swear you Nigerians are ignorant of what is happening in your own danm country! Dont you know there has been lots of improvements in the Nigerian league. This ranking is also determined by how many Nigerian clubs compete in the African club championships and progresses. Nigerian clubs like Enyimba,Kano pillars,Heartland,Rangers and Sunshines fc has been doing very good in the African club championships in the last five years but you wont know that cause you got ur head up man u and chelseas a..sses. You will rather rubbish the Nigerian league than to support them. Do you even know the club in the lead and current leading goal scorer ? Go siddon joor! 10 Likes |

I wonder how they manage to arrived at the conclusion that the NPL is the best league in Africa,with those empty stadia on match days or the poor state of the pitches. I sent a Dolphin's player match video to a club in Spain only for them to reject the video with their director telling me that it was a training session and requested that I send league match video,the match was between Dolphin and Enyimba but the director concluded that it was a training session due to the fact that the stadium was empty why the picture was the poorest they have ever seen. Tunisian and Egyptian leagues are far ahead of Nigerian league in terms of stadia quality,followership,quality of play,organisation and administration. 1 Like |

raynold17 :How have SA clubs performed in the last 5 yrs compared with Nigerian clubs? Since Mamelodi Sundowns in 2002 no SA club has made it past the group stage in any CAF competition, infact they hardly even participate. Based on this, I ask you on what is their ‘best‘ as claimed by you based? IFFHS is the world body incharge of history and statistics in football so when it speaks it is not for you who know nothing about records to challenge it. 1 Like |
