@myke20 you need to check if your vehicle D II compliant .it must have a 16-pin DLC (Data Link Connector) under the dash and the Vehicle Emission Control Information Label must state that the vehicle is OBD II compliant.

I thought I should drop an advice for anyone willing to purchase OBD II Scanners. It is very annoying to see people quoting 25k, 40k for scanners that would probably cost you 10k max. if you bought them on amazon. There are expensive scanners that cost well over that; but most of the ones being advertised are the cheap ones. You may try something like circuitatlantic or other similar online buy services to purchase one.
