Area_boy: as a Pagan Traditionalist, let me explain to you: first remember that i believe in 2 sides of the world. the material world (the tangible world) and the immaterial/spiritual world (the intangible world). both form some kind of a parallel universe i s'pose. requires some more research. . now, The basic Law of Nature - The Law of Physics states that (material) energy can neither be created nor destroyed. it is conserved., i.e., it will move elsewhere. {you must have studied this in school in physics class} In the same way, Spiritual Energy (the soul) can neither be created nor destroyed. it is conserved. i.e., it will move to another body. now i am not sure if it can move to a non-living object as well. considerable research needs to be done on that matter. PAGAN 9JA: I agree with your premise but not your conclusion. which has one major point that can be called a "flaw". How can you be certain there is such a thing as spiritual energy.? It has to exist first before it can be conserved or converted. Someone said once that you can see that when you dream. But dreaming and dying are two different things. one has an active brain and the other has a dead brain. How can we then prove the existence of souls? |

Area_boy: as i said, it is all about creating a balance. like good and evil. both exist. hot and cold. you get my drift  there is a reflection to everything. in the same way, the Spiritual realm is a reflection of the material realm.now to your above bolded line, for now, all i can say is for that my friend, you need to stray from the path of blunt facts, into obtuse reasoning. you need to experience. just as the Buddha set out in search of truth and enlightenment, you too must stray into a path that will give you answers to your doubts. |

PAGAN 9JA: Honestly i don't know how people can still consider human sacrifice to be their salvation. How is that different from the Aztec rituals? And these same, consider such to be lofty indeed: even looking down on those of us who reject such primitively barbaric notions. If Jesus has been executed in modern times, the instrument of execution would likely be a gun, a hangman's noose, an electric chair, or lethal injection. That would mean that you would have either a gun, a hangman's noose, an electric chair, or the injection thingy as the symbol of christianity today, in the same way as the cross [or stake] is: for that was merely the Roman instrument of [tortured] execution. We also object to the anger-laden decisions that end with the flood ... we also oppose a parent to sacrifice his son leaving sacrifice hanging on a cross, humiliated ...
