You can watch only NTA for free. They didn't force guns on your head to subscribe.

It is DSTV that will approve minimum wage for your country?

The diesel they use to run their company in Nigeria is ten times cheaper than in Southafrica?

Kenya even pays more for DSTV subscription than Nigeria.

Johnholmes:

Is multi choice ripping off Nigerians ?
Let's even assume that most people are on premium subscription (which definitely is not the case), multi choice will just be getting a measily $26 per subscriber every month!!!!

Multi choice is not at fault here , rather it is the government that is making nigeria bad for business

You guys are doing well.
Big up bros!!!

President Muhammadu Buhari has urged Nigerians to ensure continuity of his regime by voting for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2023 presidential election.

“The forthcoming general elections will provide us with the opportunity to convince the electorate of the need for continuity to enable our party to consolidate on our achievements in the last 7 years,” Mr Buhari said.

The president, according to a statement by his spokesperson Femi Adesina on Friday, disclosed this while receiving a delegation from Nasarawa State.
“The Government and people of Nasarawa State, as usual, have a great role to play in returning our party to governance in the 2023 elections, in order to create a path for greater socio-economic growth and development.

“This is not only important for Nigeria alone but also for the West African Sub-Region,” the president was further quoted as saying.

The one-drop rule is a social and legal principle of racial classification that was historically prominent in the United States in the 20th century. It asserted that any person with even one ancestor of black ancestry ("one drop" of black blood)[1][2] is considered black (Negro or colored in historical terms).

This concept became codified into the law of some states in the early 20th century. It was associated with the principle of "invisible blackness" that developed after the long history of racial interaction in the South, which had included the hardening of slavery as a racial caste and later segregation. It is an example of hypodescent, the automatic assignment of children of a mixed union between different socioeconomic or ethnic groups to the group with the lower status, regardless of proportion of ancestry in different groups.[3]

The one-drop rule is defunct in law in the United States and was never codified into federal law.

A major reason is that the West is led by an Anglophone United States and both India and Nigeria are part of the Anglophone world. It would be hard to keep educated Nigerians at home or even attract those who have lived there for a long time to return to Nigeria. However, that happened under OBJ, Yar'Adua and GEJ's tenures - many Nigerians in the diaspora returned, took up jobs and started businesses. Then in 2015, they paired with other Nigerians to campaign and vote for Buhari because he promised to phight kwarruption. Another reason the Chinese returned is that it (China) is disproportionately Han Chinese - home of the Chinese people. The ties are priceless. People feel at home in a place where the government - Han Chinese - represents their interests. So, it is easy to convince them to return home unlike Nigerians.

I have seen you write about dominance of one tribe as necessary for national growth peacefully.

i never believed we could ever have a government worse than Buhari but with the way Tinubu is doing, it is evident that Buhari will eventually be hailed as a very good man and leader. Tinubu is virtually taking financial recklessness, carelessness and cluelessness to a height never seen before in the history of this nation. This is more than fraud , this is pure murder , they are killing this nation gradually

Based on ThiefNuibu's Lagos record for the past 25 years, I am surprised that anyone is surprised about his worse performance than Buhari.

What did he achieve with all the revenue (IGR & federal allocation) plus loans compared to Awolowo, Mobolaji-Johnson, Jakande and even Marwa who each had far less than 25 years that THE Lagos landlord has held 20 million smart & sophisticated Lagosians by their balls literally.

Lagos, the commercial hub of Nigeria, has been ranking as one of the worst places to live in the world for the nine straight years, a BusinessDay analysis shows.

Data from the 2019 Global Liveability Index published by the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU), the world’s leader in global business intelligence, shows the city has been within the range of 137th-139th position out of a total of 140 cities in the world from year 2011-2019.

The EIU examines the quality of health care, education, infrastructure, stability, and culture when assessing living conditions of each city. More than 30 factors are taken into account when calculating each rank, which are then complied into a weighted score between one and 100.

The best hero of our nation. He brought the idea to slash excess spending of NASS, so his death could be suspecious considering the greedy nature of NASS members. He gave Armnesty to Niger Delta militants, the first to actually publicised his Agenda and actually stood by it.

Seems to me like Nigeria has an evil spirit to take away "better thing" from them. Somehow validates the common adage "better thing no dey last".

Are you talking about the same guy who crippled Ribadu and EFCC to protect his campaign bankroller, Ibori, after the Obasanjo Iwuruwuru INEC election that made him president?

The same guy who got us into the P&I mess among other corrupt deals, involving himself, Turai and their cabal?

The one who cluelessly reduced fuel price when oil price was rising and incurred so much of subsidies that Jonathan AND the 36 governors agreed to scrap it before Fayemi and his fellow progreThieves decided to play politics with our economic destiny?

That same guy or someone else

Truly we have short memories hence why we are so easily manipulated and screwed up by leaders in the political, social, economic, religious etc realms. So easily!

Omooba77:
…says Nigeria experienced economic development during Jonathan’s administration

A former Governor of Ekiti State, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, on Tuesday, said the protest that trailed the fuel subsidy removal during the administration of President Goodluck Jonathan in 2012 was due to political interests.

Fayemi said this in his keynote address delivered at a national dialogue organised to celebrate the 60th birthday celebration of the founding National Secretary of Alliance for Democracy and Fellow, Abuja School of Social and Political Thought, Professor Udenta Udenta in Abuja.

The programme was attended by Jonathan, former Minister of Education, Dr. Oby Ezekwesili; former Minister of Aviation, Osita Chidoka, among others.

The PUNCH reports that on January 1, 2012, President Goodluck announced the removal of fuel subsidy and adjusted the pump price of petrol from N65 per litre to N141.

The decision sparked mass protests, tagged ‘Occupy Nigeria’ across major cities of the country.

The price was later re-adjusted to N97, after more than a week of protests.

Petrol price was later reduced to N87 in 2015.

Jonathan faced serious backlash for the fuel price adjustment, especially from leaders of the All Progressives Congress, who were then in different opposition parties, including the defunct Action Congress of Nigeria, Congress for Progressives Congress, All Nigeria Peoples Party, and All Progressive Grand Alliance.

Jonathan: Some Governors Weren’t Happy When I Built Almajiri Schools

The government of Jonathan reportedly built 35 Almajiri schools within his first two years in office.

While delivering Graduation lecture for the participants of Executive Intelligence Management Course (EIMC) 14, 2021 at National Institute for Security Studies (NISS), Abuja, on Thursday, Jonathan described Almajirai as a time bomb.

He asked governors of the 19 Northern States to modify the system of Almajiri education in a bid to solve a wide range of security challenges facing the country.

Jonathan also asked other governors to work hard because it is not the responsibility of the Federal Government to build and manage schools.

“One thing again, is the issue of unemployment. In Africa, why do we have so many unemployed youths? We do say that the idle hand in the devil’s workshop. There is always a tendency for these idle hands to be used for anti-social activities.”

“One of the ways of tackling unemployment is the issue of education. Just like Nelson Mandela would say that, when you educate people, you give them the power and the weapons to know what’s happening in their environments.

“Education is key, and if we don’t give functional education, not just going to school and acquire certificates, but the education that is functional. If we don’t give a functional education, of course, we will have problems,” the former president said.

The lack of state-owned pipe-borne water in the homes of Lagos residents has continued to be a source of concern, a non-profit group, Corporate Accountability and Public Advocacy Africa (CAPPA) has said.

At a press event to mark this year’s World Water Day, the group said its monitoring team’s visit to state-owned waterworks showed that most of them are not operational.

The group said the waterworks it visited include the ones at Maryland, Mushin, Ikorodu, Obalende, Agbowa, Onikan, Ikoyi, and Amuwo Odofin.

Only the one in Ikoyi is producing water, according to CAPPA.

Is this because they know that we don’t care if their words are reflected in their actions?

Like Otti, how many workers has he employed to improve common services and utilities with all the loans he has taken in addition to federal allocation and IGR

adamusuleiman1:
This strategic initiative, revealed in a statement by the IsDB, is part of a broader $225 million funding approval designed to propel new development ventures.

Chaired by the esteemed H.E. Dr Muhammad Al Jasser, President and Group Chairman of IsDB, the bank’s 354th meeting of the Board of Executive Directors saw the green light given to two pivotal projects aimed at fortifying socio-economic growth and sustainability in critical sectors.

About the Loan
The $125 million allocation for Nigeria is poised to significantly reduce travel times and costs on major roadways, concurrently enhancing market accessibility and social services for the local populace.

Emphasising inclusivity, the project promises to bolster mobility for all residents, prioritising safe and accessible transport options, notably for vulnerable community segments.

The statemen read:

“Nigeria secured a US$125 million financing package to contribute to the Abia State Integrated Infrastructure Development Project. The project aims to reduce travel times and costs along key roads, while also improving access to markets and social services for local communities.
“Additionally, the project will enhance overall mobility by ensuring safe and accessible transportation for all residents, including vulnerable groups.”

By their fruits we shall know them. You voted for the real scammer my brother. What are the fruits of the Tinubu government? Hunger, poverty, sorrow and death.
Stop blaming the one you refused to vote for and concentrate on the failure you voted for.

Are you a witch to know who I voted for

And aren't there supermarkets in production oriented economies like USA and China?
It's evident many Nigerians lack critical thinking.

Let me repost what you may have missed in the comment I quoted.

“All the goods that can be produced in Nigeria, Obi imports them in his supermarkets. That is consumption economics. That kind of person cannot tell you that he is moving you from consumption to production. He will then be committing self-economic suicide and Obi will not do that to himself”.

Keep resting well Yinka. You told the whole world who Bola Tinubu is. You exposed the mysterious man from Iragbiji. I doubt if he would have become the president if you are still alive.

Maybe his death two years to Emilokan was not purely natural, just like Bola Ige’s death two years to Obasanjo’s reelection.
