OyigboUpdate:
There was tension among residents of Nkwelle Ezunaka community in Oyi LGA of Anambra State following the killing of a man whose killers left a “sit-at-home” note on his corpse which was dumped at the Triangle axis on the Onitsha-Otuocha road.

Residents suspect that he was killed by members of the banned Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

According to a witness, “The man was brought to the scene at about 8am on Monday in a Lexus by about four armed men who shot into the air.

“The men who wore masks brought out the victim from the vehicle and shot him severally until he fell and died instantly.

“After killing him, one of them dropped a note on the corpse and they left. When we eventually came out of hiding to have a close look at the corpse, we saw that the note paper they dropped on the corpse bore, ‘Sit at home on Monday’.

“We also saw a police permit (sticker) for tinted windscreen vehicles that might have fallen from the vehicle of the gunmen as the Lexus had tinted windscreens.

“The items were later picked by officials believed to be security personnel.”

The state’s police spokesman, DSP Tochukwu Ikenga, said there was no such information available to him.

This cannot be allowed to continue happening

You sound like Buhari before 2015, when Tinubu fraudulently sold him as the messiah to fix our country, just because he was eyeing the ebilokan opportunity for 2023.

How did sane Nigerians allow Tinubu to change his 2011 CPC expired leadership four years later into the saviour of the country? How did we lose our guard? No be juju be that

Emergingnation:
Flashback: How Bola Tinubu spoke highly of Buhari in 2015, named PDP ‘Poverty Development Party

National leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, Bola Tinubu had during the presidential campaign in 2015, referred to President Muhammadu Buhari as the only solution for the security and economic challenges facing Nigeria.

During a mega presidential rally, the former governor of Lagos State recalled how some powerful nations in the world returned to army generals when they were challenged, saying “Major General Buhari would revive Nigeria’s economy”.

He named the current opposition People’s Democratic Party, PDP as the “Poverty Development Party saying they had nothing to offer.

His words at the time were; “Every nation has a period of their own challenges, when America was challenged, they turned to one great man, their ex-military general, General Eisenhower. When the French were challenged, they turned to their general, Charles de Gaulle.

“When Britain was challenged, they turned to their general. Today, Nigeria is economically and physically challenged so we turn to General Muhammadu Buhari. He is the right man for the job. If you talk about military experience, he has it abundantly, he has courage, simplicity, he has it abundantly.

“If you talk about great determination, a combination of vision and ability to perform, honesty and integrity, he has it abundantly.

“I laugh when the incapable government, ‘Poverty Development Party’ PDP were talking. They have nothing again to say, they now want to question the qualifications of General Buhari and look for his certificate”.

Following the manifestos in 2015 which projected the APC presidential candidate as a ‘saviour’, Buhari defeated the then incumbent president, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan with Nigerians expecting a total change in security and economy.

A former model and Miss Switzerland finalist who was murdered by her husband was found to have been strangled, dismembered and her remains put through a handheld blender, medical reports reveal.

Kristina Joksimovic, 38, was found dead in her home in Binningen, near Basel, in February.

Her husband and father of her two children, named only as Thomas by local media, admitted to killing her in March, according to the Federal Court. However, his claim that he was acting in self-defence was contradicted by the medical forensic report.

A court ruling on Wednesday found that Ms Joksimovic had been strangled to death and reported that there were “concrete indications of mental illness” underlying the case.

A post-mortem included in the ruling said that her body had been dismembered with a jigsaw, knife, and garden shears in the laundry room of the couple’s home.

Her remains were then liquidised with a handheld blender and dissolved in a chemical solution, the report added.

Ms Joksimovic’s remains were discovered on Feb 13 by a third party.

Who is smart and intelligent enough to explain how a body that has been blended AND dissolved in chemical can still be discovered

HOW A ‘FRIEND’ REPORTEDLY MURDERED CHRISTIANNAH IDOWU AND BURIED HER IN HIS COMPOUND.

Cc: @PoliceNG @OgunPoliceNG

A detailed report from trusted sources:

On the 19th of August 2024, Christiannah Idowu was declared missing after her parents were contacted by her abductors using her own WhatsApp contact. The first contact with the parent was established around 8:49pm after which they sent photos of the victim in captivity to them using the WhatsApp ‘view once’ feature.

The abductors requested for a ransom fee of N1,500,000. Christiannah’s parents raised N350,000 immediately. The abductor then requested that the money be sent to a bet account through a bank deposit channel. (Info reserved for now)

After receiving the money, on the 22nd of August, the abductor requested that bank statement of the sender be forwarded to his email (withheld).

On the 23rd of August, family complied. Immediately after that, the abductor stopped communicating with the parents.

Meanwhile, on the 22nd of August, some amount was sent to the GTB account of Christiannah and the amount was then withdrawn into the wema bank account belonging to the main suspect ( Name withheld for now).

Investigation by intelligence operatives began on the 26th to unravel details of the account number.

By the 29th, intelligence operatives had confirmation from the bank that the BVN linked to the masked Betting account allegedly belonged to the account owner (name withheld for now) who also operates the Wema Bank (account no withheld for now)

Further investigation revealed that he was able to withdraw the sum of 100,000 from the betting account before agents got the bet company to lock the account.

Armed by these information, operatives began investigation into the suspect whom they observed to have a mutual relationship with Christiannah Idowu, especially judging by Instagram posts as they both commented on each other’s pages.

The crazy thing is: the same account number used to launder some amount directly from Christiannah’s account has been posted on Twitter once to “beg for a give away free money”

With all these information at hand, the operatives began to track down his cell phone activities and text messages. The cell phone tracking led them to his parent’s house, somewhere in IKORODU.

Operatives then got confirmation of his presence in the building through active tracking of his mobile device. Immediately, gallant personnel of the Nigerian army 174bn swooped in on the suspect to conduct arrest.

After the arrest, damning evidences were seen with the suspect and this includes the victim blue ITEL A56 with IMEI:35230******.

Also, in his phones are details of the money moved and also details confirming he owns the Betting account that was locked. It was registered with his phone number.

On his phone, they found an interaction between his personal email and the email address that has been interacting with the family of the deceased.

After reviewing the evidence, the suspect was then taken into custody to enable the operatives conduct further investigations.

Upon reviewing this evidence, suspect was successful taken into custody for necessary action.

On August 3, the suspect reportedly confessed to the father and the soldiers that he killed the girl and buried her in their house.

There is also a new story awaiting further confirmation that in 2018, the suspect’s ex-girlfriend was killed in same manner. Also that in 2020, the suspect’s own biological sister met the same fate, and the same thing has happened to Christiannah in 2024.

It’s really devastating. I’ll give more updates as I get them.

White monopoly capital

Whites-Noone gave them the space. They took it.

Asians- Mao's cultural and socialist revolution gave the Chinese the ability to insulate from the west and develop their economic policy directions.

Is this a rhetorical question?

The above question is not clear. Please contextualize or elaborate.

They did but these societies were strong enough to insulate and repel White monopoly capital infiltrations by nationalizing their competitive resources.

These are not excuses but observations. If you see them as such well sorry for you. You must return back to school to stud history

I will admit there are issues with African soceities that hinder the ability to rise to the levels of true developing nations versus Many Asian societies in comparison i.e. Indonesia or China but thats a completely different topic from what you are asking.

Let me know if you have any additional questions and I will happy to convey an objective opinion, no?

If there are issues with us and you don't want to deal with them so we are strong like the Asians and also strong like the whites so that we can take our own space too, then what are you? A typical irresponsible black who wants others to do what God has enabled him to do

OJtOp2:
Lord Lugard, the former governor-general of Nigeria, in 1926, wrote his unfiltered thought about Nigerians. From his book, The Dual Mandates, come these excerpts: "In character and temperament, the typical African of this race-type is a happy, thriftless, excitable person, lacking in self-control, discipline, and foresight. Naturally courageous, and naturally courteous and polite, full of personal vanity, with little sense of veracity, fond of music and loving weapons as an oriental loves jewellery. His thoughts are concentrated on the events and feelings of the moment, and he suffers little from the apprehension for the future or grief for the past. His mind is far nearer to the animal world than that of the European or Asiatic, and exhibits something of the animals' placidity and want of desire to rise beyond the state he has reached.

"Through the ages, the African appears to have evolved no organised religious creed, and though some tribes appear to believe in a deity, the religious sense seldom rises above pantheistic animalism and seems more often to take the form of a vague dread of the supernatural. He lacks the power of organisation, and is conspicuously deficient in the management and control alike of men or business. He loves the display of power, but fails to realize its responsibility - he will work hard with a less incentive than most races. He has the courage of the fighting animal, an instinct rather than a moral virtue. In brief, the virtues and defects of his race -type are those of attractive children, whose confidence when it is won is given ungrudgingly as to an older and wiser superior and without envy. Perhaps, the two traits which have impressed me as those most characteristic of the African native are his lack of apprehension and his lack of ability to visualize the future"

Guys lets discuss the thoughts of Lord Lugard. he had a supremacist view obviously. But is he right in the way he describes Nigerians and Africans in general? How many of the issues that he raises are valid?
Letz get some responses

Many African countries have not been given the space to evolve what sort of unique political/economic system that would fit or be suitable given the peculiarities of African culture as opposed to Western civilizations

Who is supposed to GIVE us the space?
Who gave whites the space? And Asians, who gave them the space?
Was it we blacks who gave them the space

Rich in resources necessary for capitalist exploitation by Western democracies and the interference especially by advanced neo liberal capitalist societies has crippled its ability to introspect and choose what works for it.

Taking Nigeria cultural peculiarities as an example, the Igbo lean more towards affinities to capitalist ideologies as against The Fulani or Hausa who would benefit from a more socialist economic system attuned to their religious and cultural traditions.

You have no clue about resources, do you?
Europe and North America must be desolate places with zero resources in your imagination, not so?
Why did western democracies not interfere with Asians, including Arabs to cripple their ability to introspect?

How will your litany of excuses for our enduring failures as blacks help us change our fortune as Asians have changed theirs

Biodun556:
A group of Abia pensioners has appealed to Gov. Alex Otti to revisit and rescind the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signed with their leaders and pay them their remaining retirement benefits.

The group, operating under the Abia Pensioners’ Forum, a pressure group within the state chapter of Nigeria Union of Pensioners (NUP), made the appeal on Wednesday in Umuahia.

The Coordinator of the group, Mr. Okey Kanu, made the appeal while briefing newsmen on the governor’s claim that his government had defrayed the arrears of pensions left behind by Okezie Ikpeazu’s administration.

Kanu implored the governor to pay the balance of their pension arrears and gratuity.

He said that before the MOA, many of their members were cumulatively owed up to 60 months, while the last payment of gratuity was in 2002.

He commended Otti for the regular payment of their monthly pension since April and his developmental strides in the state.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the governor had in April said the state had paid all the pension arrears owed to at least 12,500 pensioners, dating back to 2014.

The governor had disclosed that over N9 billion was spent from the N10 billion set aside by the government to offset the accumulated pension arrears.

Meanwhile, Kanu said that the governor was free to liquidate the balance of the retirement benefits by instalments, if the government could not do so in one swoop.

He said that the state government and NUP officials had signed an MOA, in which their arrears of pension and gratuity were forfeited to the government.

He said that the minutes of the enlarged NUP meeting of January 11, referred to by the government in the MOA, showed that the issue of gratuity was not mentioned.

Kanu, a legal practitioner, insisted that what was deliberated on was the issue of pension arrears.

He said: “In effect, signing the MOA containing the forfeiture of our gratuity in addition was ultra vires to NUP officers, hence not binding on our members.

“To date, the MOA has remained a secret document to our members.

“We gathered that the state NUP officials had written two letters to the State Government, requesting a meeting to discuss gray areas of the MOA.

“One of such gray areas, according to the NUP officials, is that the issue of gratuity was never part of their negotiation and agreement with the government.”

Kanu said that the arrears of pension and gratuity were not negotiable “because they are personal, statutory and their legitimate entitlements in the service”.

He contended that gratuity was savings from their salary, while they were in service and was supposed to be paid to them immediately on retirement.

According to him, it is unfathomable how the State Government can negotiate with vulnerable pensioners, who are deprived and famished over the years.

Festus Keyamo Defends Tinubu From Drug Trafficking, Says Tinubu Mistakenly Shared Flats With Drug Lords

The Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Mr Festus Keyamo, has distanced the All Progressive Congress presidential candidata, Bola Tinubu, from being a drug baron who was involved in the traffic of narcotics in the United States.

Keyamo, who also doubles as APC Presidential Campaign spokesperson, noted that the former governor of Lagos State only shared a block of flat with drug barons about 30 years ago in the US.

His reaction is coming following documents of a Chicago District Court indicting and convicting Tinubu of drug dealings and money laundering in 1993.

The document which emerged online two days ago, described APC standard-bearer as a drug baron, adding that Tinubu entered a plea bargain, leading to the forfeiture of his assets to US authorities in 1993

It was also pointed out that Tinubu forfeited the sum of $460, 000 dollars in his bank account at First Heritage Bank to the US government.

Speaking on Wednesday on Channels TV, Mr Keyamo dismissed such claims, insisting that Tinubu was linked to drug peddlers who were his neighbours.

He said: “What happened was that Tinubu went to open an account. The address which he used in opening the account was the address used by these people. I think some blocks of flats. Maybe, he was happy to be in that block of flats too.

“So, they now link it that the other people they were investigating for narcotics are in the same address used by Asiwaju to open that account.’’

Judge hands out prison time in Enron barge scam

Ex-Enron, Merrill execs sentenced. A repentant Boyle gets nearly four years for his involvement in barge scandal

May 13, 2005

Former Enron executive Dan Boyle was sentenced to nearly four years in prison Thursday, while Robert Furst and William Fuhs, both former Merrill Lynch bankers, received more than three years — all for their roles in the Enron Nigerian barge scam.

Boyle, sentenced to three years and 10 months in prison and fined $320,000, was the only one who appeared repentant about pushing through a sham sale of energy-generating barges to the bank so Enron could pump its earnings and bolster its stock price.

"I'm the only one responsible for my actions and omissions and for the pain I caused each and every person I affected," the Clear Lake resident told the judge. "I'm truly sorry."

WHO SAYS 4 YEARS IN OFFICE IS NOT ENOUGH FOR MEANINGFUL ACHIEVEMENTS?

IT'S A FACT THAT 90% OF GOVERNORS IN NIGERIA SINCE 1999 WITH REVENUES AT THEIR DISPOSAL CANNOT BOAST OF A QUARTER OF THESE ACHIEVEMENTS EVEN WITHIN THEIR EIGHT YEARS IN OFFICE.

Prototype pictures

Thanks for sharing these prototype photos, which hopefully won't end up as unfulfilled promises like what Tinubu, Fashola, Ambode and Sanwo-Olu have been doing since 1999.

25 years plus of claiming to be progressives but only squeezing huge IGR from the people without commensurate benefits in common services and utilities, such that Lagos is now a glorified ghetto of cholera risks due to inadequate water supply in houses.

How many pharmacists, nurses, administrators, doctors etc have been recruited YEARLY by the four governors in the past quarter century? Do you have the numbers

Realdeals:

Jakande @ 90: 9 Achievements of Alhaji Lateef Jakande as Lagos Governor

1. The first governor to present a billion Naira state budget in Nigeria.

2. He phased out the shift system in Lagos schools in three months. He built functional classrooms to absorb those who only attend schools for three hours a day.

3. He opened up what is now known as the Lekki Corridor.

4. He built the biggest Housing estate by a state government at Abesan, along with five other estates.

5. He built LASU, LACOED, LASPOTECH and Technical schools to absorb the products of the free education policy.

6 He built General Hospitals and Health centers in all the five divisions of Lagos. He also upgraded General Hospital Ikeja to the Medical arm of LASU.

7. He created the Agric hub at Oko Oba. He also created similar hubs in Ikorodu, Epe and Badagry.

8. His government’s strict adherence to the party manifesto of Free Education, Free Health care, Rural integration and Housing for all, along with other UPN governors, created the largest pool of human resources in Nigeria.

9. He moved the Lagos State Government Secretariat from PWD to Alausa, which he built from scratch. He also lived in his personal house and drove his personal car throughout his tenure.

Are these really white men? Well, I feel native South Africans are still psychological and even literally under the subjugation of the so-called 'whites' or European settlers. Instead of them to fight genuinely for their true freedom, conversely they were trying to still impress the whites and gain their acceptance on south africans' own soil. They have been trying to achieve this, by tagging other black Africans in their country as the enemies. Unfortunately, it will only lead them to deeper challenges.

Any idea why Nigerians and other black Africans are not flooding Zimbabwe after clueless idiot-a Mugabe wrecked it by fighting "genuinely" for their freedom? Genuinely by seizing lands from white farmers and redistributing to olodo blacks as political settlement to stay forever in power?

Did you notice that the black employee involved in killing the black South African women is a Zimbabwean

So because we have terrorist in Nigeria makes it legal for for a race to be hunting down blacks at sight?

You will always defend your masters thinking one day, they will adopt you as being White, and that impossible.

They will still hunt you same way they do others!

grin shocked

Where is the defence in what you read

Pray you never come across a White man who sees you as a game. They kill blacks for fun!

Till date, there are still sundown towns scattered across the US, and certain such places exist in Europe too. If someone’s car should mistakenly get faulty in those places. He or She is dead.

Is that different from what Boko Haram, IPOB and other terrorist organisations are doing in our country to fellow Nigerian citizens?

Is it worse or better than Yorubas and Igbo people in particular raiding, capturing and selling blacks to whites and Arabs as slaves in exchange for tobacco, firearms, mirrors, umbrellas, alcohol etc

Why are we so obsessed with hypocrisy?

Man's inhumanity to man, I'm surprised this horrific incident didn't make big headlines in south Africa, they were busy fighting Nigerians that period

White men committed this unspeakable crime

Is Tinubu a white man?
What greater inhumanity to man is more than Tinubu’s economic stranglehold on 200 million Nigerians?

Do you know how many people are dying as a result

Black Africans dehumanized themselves. We sold our own into Slavery to alien races. The Gods are haunting us.

The Haiti you claim was harmed by the West is populated by the descendants of people that Black Africans SOLD into slavery. That's easy to ignore and heap all blame on the White Man

May God bless you richly for this truth.

In relation to black Africans? No. The majority of Nigerians and other Africans enjoy certain technologies and infrastructure as a result of the decision of the Chinese to spread them to Africa. The roads, telecommunications infrastructure, railways, airports, sea ports, factories, mining, heavy-duty equipment etc. Without the Chinese immense contributions and investments, Africa would have been much poorer than it is and MANY Africans would have been starved of ubiquitous technologies in other parts of the world.

No race or country is perfect, but the Chinese have been a hooge blessing to Africa(ns), nay black people, without the dehumanisation we received in the past 400+ years.

Are you saying that Chinese racism towards blacks is hugely better than that of the whites

The United States massively helped Japan back to its feet by providing intellectual property, openness of the US market and favourable deals. As Japan grew tremendously as a result of its hard work where its firms challenged their American counterparts, the United States cut its wings with the Plaza Accord. It is that similar deal the Chinese have refused to sign. So, yes, the Japanese worked hard to be where they are today, but they had strong American assistance. Ditto for South Korea which had assistance from Japan, and China had investments from Japan and an open market to the US. Europe on its own had the Marshall Plan Act.

As for the Dominican Republic, as the other poster stated, the Portuguese/Spaniards were not as destructive as the French. See the miscegenation they did across South America compared to the One-Drop Rule Anglo-Americans did in the US. But generally, the French have been terribly bad towards black countries, and even other colonies. Haiti was forced to pay huge loans because it challenged French colonial powers. I cannot think of a prosperous country whose previous colonial masters were the French. It is that bad.

So the key is hard work, which we blacks are not interested in, preferring to blame colonial masters for our woes?

Dominica and St. Lucia are former French colonies in the Caribbean that are not as bad as Haiti.

Were the Japanese antagonistic towards Americans when they were receiving support from them? Or the Germans? Or even the Chinese and South Koreans? If a small boy is arrogant and antagonistic to his big man benefactor, why should he not be dealt with ruthlessly

France in cahoots with the US ruined that country. France itself does not have a good history or reputation with black dominated environments. Also, Haiti is in the Americas, aka the Monroe Doctrine. Thus limiting any trade, military or scientific collaboration I will want to have with the Chinese. Nearby Gabon the Chinese provide funds for its military, and the US suddenly invited the president for what-I-don't-know.

How and why is the Dominican Republic, which shares the same island with Haiti, so much different?

How and why did the Japanese turn out so well with American domination after WWII?

When will we address our own shortcomings as blacks, in order to make meaningful progress

Only a kid will not understand how military regime and 16 years of misrule kick-started economic misfortune

Is that why Tinubu packaged clueless former military dictator Buhari as messiah after making him cry in 2011 by saying he was CPC's expired leadership?

Do you have any idea at all of what you are talking about

PDP is now a subject of ridicule and a laughing stock. They should just keep quiet and allow the ground swallow them.

May God bless Nigeria for ever!

In the same way that Tinubu & APC's ebilokan continuity has been swallowing Nigerians since 2015

LieDetector:
President Muhammadu Buhari has urged Nigerians to ensure continuity of his regime by voting for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2023 presidential election.

“The forthcoming general elections will provide us with the opportunity to convince the electorate of the need for continuity to enable our party to consolidate on our achievements in the last 7 years,” Mr Buhari said.

The president, according to a statement by his spokesperson Femi Adesina on Friday, disclosed this while receiving a delegation from Nasarawa State.
“The Government and people of Nasarawa State, as usual, have a great role to play in returning our party to governance in the 2023 elections, in order to create a path for greater socio-economic growth and development.

“This is not only important for Nigeria alone but also for the West African Sub-Region,” the president was further quoted as saying.
