It’s actually not about the refund, we want to be sure where things go wrong in the first place, the imei number for the iPhone 11 Pro is Verizon and iCloud is off which he again comfirm with the seller. I’m not saying the guy who picked the phone is lying but how can you check the faceID and the battery health and not notice there is a iCloud on the phone. I will try not to be biased, but read very well before commenting on the issue. Thank You

It is clear you picked up a space Gray 11 pro Verizon. No dispute.

Now, was any 11 pro picked up in your office?? Apart from Alex? Was it possible that there was a switch? And Carlos gave that space Gray 11 pro picked to someone else? and the iCloud 11 pro fell into the hands of McMayor?

Since carlosfelix can’t dispute the fact that the picture was taken in his office, it was obvious that another 11 pro was given to Alex.

I’m beginning to smell carlosfelix ass burn, hence his persistent replies on this.


Either way, the 11 pro you picked is not the 11 pro picked by Alex, evidence (picture taken in office) and imei proves such.

Even if, let’s assume you gave the right 11 pro to Alex, you will still be in a mess of selling a bypassed 11 pro by the other party that will pick it from your office

Many questions lingers in this but in all, a bypassed 11 pro was picked up by Alex in your office in which the imei did not tally with what u picked in FL, Nobody cares if you picked up a space Gray 11 pro or not. If you like go and bring screenshot from the head office of offerup inc., it won’t change anything from the fact that client didn’t get that which you picked.

Let the item be returned and a refund be made by LOA00711 or the right 11 pro be handed over to Mcmayor. The mistake or mixup is from your end

@LOA00711 and @carlosfelix should come and explain how a different phone got into your hands. I paid @LOA00711 for an iPhone 11 Pro FU 64gb, @carlosfelix notified me when item arrived and ask who is coming to pickup(even though I never discussed about any deal with him prior to that day, so it was @LOA00711 that told him the phone belongs to me) I told him it’s @Mcmayor and he generated a code for pickup, I sent the code to @Mcmayor. So @carlosfelix and @ LOA00711 should explain.

we’ll get to the root of the matter. I don’t think anyone should be quick to judge here, let wait for ola to dispute the claim of mcmayor. But as a picker the chances are very slim to pick an iCloud locked phone. Even if the seller is a regular seller you still need to check everything cause once you give them the money they turn to your boss, police can’t even help you to recover your money back cause they will tell you it’s a civil matter between two peoples. The guy talking about Ola music career, if you have any beef/ or issue with him you can easily sort it out with him. we’re not trying to bring anyone down here cause that what you’re clearly trying to do. iCloud phone had nothing to do with music career. Thanks for the explanation, next time as you’ve said be more open to them,about the situation on ground. I understood the main reason why all this situation happened, cause of your missing shipment and few other cases of robbery that happened afterwards. Boss next time when there is an issue on ground, it’s better to open up with the truth.

I know there’s nothing I can really say that can be enough to undo all that happened last year.

I am here to take full responsibility and apologize profusely, I am truly SORRY!

I admit that in 2020 I didn’t do a lot of things right.

For example, with Rakiticbarca, we had a MacBook deal that didn’t work out and it took me about a month to refund him because the seller kept promising me that he had them.

What I should have done: Tell Rakitic exactly what was happening immediately and leave him to decide if I should hold on to the money or refund him.

With Peterflexy, similar issue, he got some AirPods Pro from me and the deal didn’t pull through. The seller had supplied me over 250 pieces of AirPods Pro before then which i sold to some people here on NL and had no reason to doubt her.

So I was assured that I will get additional 100pcs from her but she kept posting me.

I finally refunded him Peterflexy but it took too long.

What I should have done: Explain to him what was happening and let him decide what the next course of action would be.

With Pheranmie, shipment was delayed. It took over 5weeks for his item to get to the shipper in Texas, I have all the proof of when I sent the items to Texas and I only selected that route because I was promised it would get to him in 5 days. I shipped via usps from Baltimore to Texas and what was meant to take 2 days lingered for 5weeks because of the holiday and backlogs from usps.

He thought I shipped via my normal shipping route(which would normally take 5-10 days), All I wanted was a better route and thereby improve efficiency and make him happy.

Pheranmie collected some of his items yesterday(5 of 8 PCs) and I’ve decided to refund him the rest of the money(for 3pcs) by the end of today.

What I Should I have done: Let him know early enough that I didn’t ship via the normal route. Tell him exactly what’s going on so he won’t sell his items as TLC.

After sitting back to really think about all these, I noticed a common theme:

MISCOMMUNICATION & LACK OF OPENNESS

This is what I’ve learnt now: business has its twists and turns and whenever there is an issue, no matter how unpalatable it might sound, let all those involved know EXACTLY whats going on so that it can help them make their decisions.

Here’s my promise going forward:

⁃ Openness. If a deal goes wrong. I will let the person know and issue an immediate refund. No more delays. I’ve been able to work this out with my exchanger.

⁃ Shipping Consistency. if I am not able to ship for any reason, I’ll let everyone know via the thread.

So, If you’ve had any issue with me in the past I am here to sincerely apologize, I am sorry.

No words can really describe how bad I feel and I hope you’ll find a place in your heart to forgive me.

I told you the failed pick up is 60$ and you told me we agreed on 50$ which I told you “pay what you have “ thinking you would pay the 50$. Toll payments to enter New York from New Jersey compulsory is 20$, what about the gas money for 1hr20 minutes journey. I’m still stuck with the “LAPTOP” .
