Pets / Re: My Dog Is Going Blind :'( by kemmy100: 8:51am On Feb 12, 2016 |
Well coming from someone who owns a dog. At the age of 14 your dog has become very very old. There are certain illnesses that are a sign of old age in dogs. Hips dysplasia, worsening eye sight etc. I would gladly advice not to begin to self treat your dog with thus and that. This is a degenerating illness and will continue till youndecide to put the dog down humanly or till it dies. Take heart, i understand how hard it is to see your pet age right in front of you. Take care man. 1 Like |

That is one of the worst breeds for a 1st time owner. Never flog a dog, it will never trust you, and if it does not trust you, how can you control it? I am very sorry, even i would not take an that breed and i have had dogs and leashed them for a long time. This is a very protective bred. Dogs charge people when they have not been socialized well, in the begin your dog must learn to be touched and played with by everybody. But your dog must only defend you when you are in danger or threatened or at given command. I think you really have a tough breed for a 1st timer. Next time dont take a bred that you dont know of. Dogs chew, especially when they are teething. If you have not house trained your dog, keeping it in the cage for the whole day is a very dangerous thing, because dogs like places to be clean and if they have to soil themselves or hold pee and poo too long, it will be a problem. You most always take your dog out to ease itself outside, minimum 3 to 4 times a day. Honestly. The list of things you are doing wrong are too much 1 Like |

Politics / Goodluck Stilk Not Serious About Dealing With Boko Haram by kemmy100: 2:28pm On Mar 03, 2015 |
http://www.bbc.com/news/world-africa-31695508 Mr Jonathan, who is seen as having barely dealt with the crisis, is now squeezed between his electoral campaign and a military offensive, hoping that both will turn in his favour. In the meantime, Chad has clearly taken the lead. At the UN Security Council, where it is said to be "pushy", and on the ground, with Chadian troops deployed in Nigeria but also in Cameroon and in Niger. Chad has been impatient to act in order to protect its supply routes, crucial to its economy. Goods come through Cameroon's Far North while it exports oil through a pipeline running through Nigeria's Adamawa state. There is scepticism that Nigeria will even bring a resolution before the Security Council following the AU vote, in which case Chad would probably seek UN backing for the region. Boko Haram regional growth? Funds for the MNJTF will not directly come from the United Nations but from donor countries led by France, the US and the UK, which will all stress human rights issues, given the track records of the armies involved. In a paper published last month, Marc-Antoine Perouse de Montclos, researcher at Chatham House, suggested that a multi-national response to Boko Haram's threat might just help the Nigerian Islamist insurgency take on a more regional dimension. After all, Boko Haram launched its first attacks on Chad and Niger after the authorities of both countries said that they were joining the fight. On the contrary but with tempered optimism, Western diplomats reckon that this current plan will at best stop a Boko Haram spill-over in the region and weaken the insurgency in Nigeria. Boko Haram in 60 seconds But it will not be enough to flush it out of the north-eastern states. "Nigeria isn't really part of the game so far, but Abuja is obviously key to solving the crisis," wrote Mr Perouse de Montclos. Diplomats agree. The MNJTF may well get the institutional framework it will need to operate, but the co-operation efforts made by Nigeria's francophone neighbours will not achieve much without a real Nigerian strategy - both military and political - against Boko Haram. A source at the UN Security Council bluntly summed it up: "All we see is the failure coming from six years of non-action. "Nigeria needs to get a lot more involved |

Yesterday, the president of this great country, said he had not been informed about the postponement of the elections, neither by his security chief, the military heads, jega, etc. All these people are people he has appointed, these are people who work in his administration. By claiming to not have any idea, the president has just admitted to not being in control or head his government. So anyone in the GEJ cabinet can say or do anything without the head of the government and in this case postpone general elections without any approval. We cannot continue to be ruled by that kind of inadequate leadership GMB GMB for proper leadership |
Politics / Why Not To Vote For GEJ. Period. by kemmy100: 11:23am On Feb 09, 2015 |
In this 21st century, the time when almost everyone has an internet or a smart phone and Nigerians are more connected to the outside world and each other, there are ways to run a political campaign and there are ways not to do that. I have not made up my mind up ontill today, I have gone through many comments on nairaland and in many other media outlets and there is one very clear difference: One camp is running a very effective campiagn and the other is not. Lets start with a Niger delta militant, who threatened the former minister of defence. Now after our many elections and the many people that have lost their lives during our electoral process, a militant threatening a former memeber of the Government is very very bad, and doing that with the silent blessing of GEJs campaign team is very very bad. In the 21st century we do not need a politics of hate, but rather one of peace. GEJ should have condemned that statement in the hardest terms and then distanced himself from the miliant in question. You do not have to respect the man but you have to respect the office and the fact that it represents the Nigerian government. 2nd Postponing the election after june 12 is so so bad, GEJ and his camp should have fought tooth and nail not to make it happen, no matter what, he should not have allowed Nigerians to think of him that way. This gives more strenght to GMB, and does not help him in anyway. He should have said not in my name. This is why I will vote for GMB, because he has kept it calm and anything that reminds me on June 12 is a mighty no no. 3rd is Mr Okupe, again another violent rhetoric in the camp of GEJ. Now Buhari has during this election cycle said that everyone should keep calm. No one in is camp has so far said we will do this if this happens or that, but okupe has been making this remarks and making GEJ look very very bad. Now GEJ himself might be a good man with goof intentions, but if show me your friends and I will tell you who you are is still right then by association with okupe he has done himself more bad. 4th Okupe on hardtalk. Wow! folks this was bad. Now this man represents us, our government, our everything, he goes to the BBC and does this? Check vid below. Mr Okupe how can you say you helped GEJ in this regard? How can you say you made the Nigerian people look better. This is so bad that only by watching it will you know why we most seek a different part. The country is not safe, yes this happened in the Northeast, but this can also happen in the south, the west, etc. I mean pirates kill people off the coast of Nigeria, kidnappers to their best in the south, clashes in the middle best and yet you go and defend that on bbc, making it seem like our problems are only in the northeast? This shows that GEJ really is out of touch. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j_HUrexd32U |

It’s the symbolic seat of the revolution; post-Gaddafi Libya’s equivalent of Egypt’s Tahrir Square.
