Another tragedy has hit the movie industry, as legendary Nollywood actor, Justus Esiri, has died.

It was gathered that the actor, who is also the father to Mavins artiste, Dr. SID, lost the battle to diabetes caused by old age.
Esiri passed on some hours ago in an undisclosed hospital in Lagos and will widely be remembered for his role as headmaster in the series Village Headmaster, which aired on the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA).

He is survived by a wife, Omiete and six children.

Facts have begun to emerge regarding the real story behind Wizkid and Banky is fallout. The reason is not unconnected with the rising sensational singer being made a cash cow for the EME label. An Insider opened up to Entertainment Rendezvous that Wizzy (his nickname) is at war with Banky W and EME because he wants a contract review which Banky W has refused to grant him.

The source pointed out that since Ayodeji Balogun known as Wizkid signed with EME, he has been getting just 25% from whatever he gets paid to perform at an event with Banky W. Empire Mate Entertainment EME is owned by Banky W and Segun Demuren and Segun and Osagie, Wizzy's ex-manager who introduced him to Banky after big record labels like Mo-Hits and Storm records rejected him, also gets 25% each from his hard earned money.

Then Wizkid didn’t mind because he was bent on building his musical career. In his contract, Banky W promised to take care of his accommodation, feeding and also his school and based on this fact, Wizkid accepted all the terms of agreement. Later, Wizzy sacked his manager, Osagie replacing her with Godwin because he felt she was getting too much. Wizkid was getting just 25% from every show because Banky W would take 50% while Osagie was taking 25%.

Wizzy sacked Osagie because she was not ready to receive 10% which other management companies were taking from artistes. This development obviously did not go down well with Banky W but because Wizzy was close to the end of his contract with EME, Banky gave in. When Wizkid’s contract expired late last year, he wanted a contract review requesting the 50-50 sharing formula to be reviewed to 70-30 but Banky would not accept his proposal.

This issue had been dragging since September 2012 and that could have explained why Wizkid moved out of Banky’s Ogudu GRA residence and got a new apartment in Lekki. What got Wizzy miffed was that he was making all the money for EME and was getting less. Also, the money being made was being used to finance the project of other EME stars namely, Niyola, Skales and Shaydee.”

Apparently Wizkid’s international fame gave him more confidence to stand out on his own. Riding on this platform, he signed a management deal with Disturbing London, an international management company. Right now, his second Album is ready and it is with Banky W. Wizzy is bent on leaving if they don’t agree with his terms and float his own label STARBOI Records.

Banky W may not have given their side of the story but insiders noted that Banky has spent a lot to make Wizkid who he is now. He feels Wizkid is not grateful and has forgotten where he was coming from.

Information gathered from a close source confirmed that Kennis Music musician and former BBA housemate Goldie slumped hours ago, shortly after arriving from Los Angeles, US where she attended the 55th Grammy Awards ceremony. Some of our reporters have seen her corpse, and witnessed as friends and colleagues deposited her remains at the mortuary in Ikeja, Lagos.

After their much talked about Dubai wedding in February was shelved, we now hear that 2Face Idibia and Annie Macaulay will hold their white wedding on March 23 in Dubai.

This date, according to information that filtered in to us, may not be shifted again like the earlier reported February wedding that may not hold anymore.

Thereafter, the couple will spend few weeks for their honeymoon in Dubai and possibly another country that is not yet disclosed to Nigeriafilms.com.

In February 2012, precisely on Valentine’s Day, 2Face proposed marriage to Annie. This was followed by a secret wedding on May 1, 2012 in Lagos.

They already have a child from their relationship before marriage. Annie is reported pregnant with their second child together and the seventh for 2Face.

Stella who was endorsed as Ambassador for African women, Singer and Nollywood actress, Stella Damasus is giving marriage a shot once again going by the engagement ring she flashed at a social event in Lagos recently.
It is no longer news that the mother of two, who recently acquired a property in Abuja is in a relationship with movie director and business partner, Daniel Ademinokan. She showed off her engagement ring at the Mode Men of the Year 2012 Awards held last weekend. When she was asked about the ring she replied, “If it looks like an engagement ring then it’s an engagement ring.

It’s a simple thing; I just refuse to talk about my private life.”
She later added,

It's been a busy and productive year for delectable actress, Laide Bakare, one of the most sort after actresses in the country.

She recently released statement about her forthcoming multi-million naira movie project. The movie, aptly titled "Jejere" and featured the actress herself and other talented actors and actresses in the movie industry, also have singer, 9ice played a mojor role.

This incident happened yesterday afternoon at Adeniji Adele, Dolphin Estate, Phase 2. A little girl ran into a woman’s shop crying. The woman asked her why she was crying, but the little girl couldn’t really express herself. She just kept pointing at a particular direction, and crying.

Then a few minutes later, the shop owner saw a man in his 30s approaching her shop and calling on the girl to follow him.

The woman asked the man who he was and why he was after the girl. The man probably realized the women wasn’t going to release the girl to him, so he tried to run.

The woman raised an alarm immediately shouting ole ole, thinking he was a kidnapper, not knowing he had done something much worse.

Youths in the area thinking the man was a thief descended on him. The man kept saying he wasn’t a thief that the little girl was known to him.

They turned to the girl and pressured her to tell them what the guy had done to her; the 3 year old told them that the man had taken her to the last floor of a 3 story building and hurt her.

They checked the girl’s panties and saw blood all over her private area. The blood had even dropped to her legs but nobody noticed on time.

On hearing this, the youths descended on him once again, this time more brutal. They stripped him n**ked, and beat him with stick, stones, bottles, etc until someone called the police who then took the man away.

Cynthia Osokogu left Abuja (According to reports, on the 22nd of July 2012). Like many enterprising young people, the post-graduate student of Nasarawa State University was a clothing retailer and had travelled to Lagos to purchase new stock.

Cynthia had been chatting with some new “friends” on Facebook for a few months. In the course of their conversations, they developed a friendship and a level of trust. These young men were also university students, they seemed normal and promised to host Cynthia when she came to Lagos.

There is speculation that they paid for her plane ticket and promised to pay for her hotel as well. Only Cynthia knows if this is true. Whatever the truth is, Cynthia trusted her new friends and had no idea that they had sinister plans.

What we know is that, these 2 young men picked Cynthia up from the airport in Lagos and drove her to a hotel in Festac. At the hotel, they tied her up, robbed her of all the money she brought to shop for her business and strangled her to death. They then left the hotel and quickly deleted her from their facebook friend list to remove any trace of their connection.

The hotel found her body and since her ID cards and mobile phone had been stolen, they could not identify her or call friends and family. Her body was deposited in a morgue in Lagos. All this time, her family and friends were praying for her safe return.

How the Killers Were Caught at some point, one of the culprits accidentally answered Cynthia’s phone and the call was traced to Festac. Therefore, her missing person’s police report was submitted to the Area E Command in Festac. This enabled her family to find her body in the morgue and also led them to the hotel.
Using CCTV from the hotel, the killers were identified. According to reports, these two young men are university students who have now confessed that they killed Cynthia and she is their sixth victim – the gang reportedly specializes in luring unsuspecting young women, robbing them of their possessions before killing them.

Though there is speculation that their motive was ritualistic, it appears that it was greed and their main goal was to rob and kill. The pharmacist who supplied the drugs used on Cynthia and hotel staff have also been arrested. According to Police spokesperson Ngozi Braide, “Six people were arrested on Sunday over the incident and investigations are ongoing”.

As you can see, Cynthia is one of Nigeria’s numerous social media generation girls (with BB and a facebook account), this unfortunately led to her demise. It is a warning that no matter how bored you are, you should learn to stay off facebook, ofcourse boredom is the number 1 reason why many people join facebook anyway. Share to Inform your friends!

The news of a 24 year old Beautiful missing lady flooded internet few days ago, including BBM, Facebook, Twitter. According to reports. Cynthia Osokogu body was found yesterday in a Lagos mortuary. It is so sad that the young lady is gone. Questions have been flying around on the cause of death but presently fingers have been crossed as we all expect the police to come up with something soon.

Present uprising in the entertainment world is that related to the EME show that was said to have held in the United States. Those who bought tickets for the EME shows in the United States are alleging fraud, and Banky W, as the boss of the group has been placed in the center of the whole noise. Claim by fans have been that Banky W has been quiet as usual, on this case as they expect a refund of the money paid for the tickets bought for the show.

Many have also expressed disappointment over the sudden cancellation of Wizkid’s concert that was set to hold on August 17 in Oakland California alongside his tour of North America. It was gathered that the fans are saying Banky W should stop organising shows if he doesn’t have what it takes to make them successful .
As a result of these dis-satisfactions, some have called for the arrest and prosecution of the singer, insisting he should be made to pay compensation and make total refund of their money for the purchase of tickets for the cancelled shows.

Banky W, it was gathered, also cancelled his show in July 2011. Efforts by some fans, who had earlier bought ticket for the show, to get refund of their money or get the show rescheduled as promised by EME has been unsuccessful…. Reason for the cancellation, according to reports then was that Wizkid and Skales were denied US visas. Banky W was said to have offered series of apologies in the past, including a promise to make 100% refund to those who bought tickets but sources say the fans have not seen their monies. A source said there have been calls from the promoters to Banky W but he has refused to respond

Jack "Prada" David approached Charles Granville and introduced himself as the PR manager of Scintilla. He offered to work for Granville who later called him to a meeting afTer much pressure. Terms were not discussed but when Jack found out he will be arriving Lagos to attend the premiere of Last Flight to Abuja, he offered to work as his PA for the day to which Granville accepted.

After the premiere and the after party, Charles Granville drove home with his manager, a colleague from Port Harcourt, a radio presenter and Jack after dropping off one of his co-stars at her residence.

Later that saturday, Charles Granville dropped all of them off at points where it would be easiest for them to get a cab home and gave Jack N5,000.
Jack reached Charles Granville by monday night and said he forgot his mother's umbrella in his car and she was asking for it.

Granville offered to drop it with his gateman since it was late and he was to leave Lagos the next morning so he can pick it up whenever and he said ok.
Jack however appeared at Granville's gate and pleaded to stay the night since it was late and he couldnt go home. Out of sympathy, Granville let him in and left him playing soccer on his PS3 while he went upstairs to sleep.

Granville was supposed to catch an 8am flight but could not get off his bed till past 9am an unusual occurrence which made the Police to suspect he was drugged. When he finally woke up and got downstairs, he could not find Jack and then discovered the PS3 was missing. He also noticed his laptop and other valuables were missing including 3 of his blackberries. While adjusting to that shock, he noticed the car keys were not where he kept them either.

When he got out of the house, his Nissan Pathfinder registered first with MUS 750 AJ and now using peace ambassador #. PEACE 701 was stolen as well. He asked his gateman who said Jack told him he was sent on an errand by Granville.

All attempts to reason with Jack so he can return the stolen items failed and so, Granville reported to the Police who invited Jack's parents for questioning.
Jack is a 19yrs old hardened criminal wanted for various crimes against many celebrities and respectable people in the entertainment industry. His father Mr. David Jack is the older brother of Gentle Jack a Nollywood Actor.

It was discovered that Charles Granville and the Jacks are from Abonnema in Rivers State. Jack is still at large and the stolen items, yet to be recovered.
