michael is an icon,legend e.t.c  ;)he's all,and we all love him, no doubt about that.
  james brown is a legend who introduced those hot steps we see in most music videos these days, i really think he's the dance king .
   its a known fact, that michael jackson got his steps from james brown.

Please let us not start another war of who is what between MJ and JB.

JB is and will always be the dance king.

i think the issues here is that of timing between these two Legends.

While JB reigned at a time good music was not well publicized, Unlike the era of MJ that music was well publicized.  

Old school will surely pick JB while the new school will come for MJ.

Michael was the king, is the king and would still be the king. ever seen any dance video recently? watch closely and all you would see would be Michael Jackson moves. Leave out personality and all that ,  even though he's got that too. but basically Michael is the most successful artist ever in the history of music.
