Hi all I found a solution to Nokia S40 3rd edition phones error using java apps (opera mini, teashark, google map etc) to connect to d net. This problem arise from nokia not allowing manual setting of proxy for APN. The file I've configured is for Celtel and has the following settings: APN: mms.ng.celtel.com Proxy: 172.18.254.5 Port: 8080 If u'll want want me to configure other APN or proxy for u email/I'm me @ cafedeluv4nland@yahoo.ca. Download the file I've attached & send it to your mobile using bluetooth. |

using bluetooth to transfer is like OTA.
Presently cables can only transfer life a normal file. Hope to resolved that soon.
But ur best option for now is bluetooth object push

@cafedeluv, like i said in a different post the only way for now is bluetooth object push. But remember That OTA (over the air) settings are just binary messages, so for phones without bluetooth, they have to look for a way to send binary sms i know its possible because some of these online sms allow for it.

Opera mini 4.1 is for new phones and others that support midp2.0 while opera mini 3 basic is for older phones like SE T610

Download the file I attached "celtelproxy.prov" and transfer the file through bluetooth object push transfer.
However if u don't ve a BT or can't transfer just send ur no to me

Hi all.
I've gotten a sol for those who can't use mtn trick with opera mod on Nokia s40 phones.
Just download the file i attached and transfer to ur phone through bluetooth (using object push transfer)

And for those without bluetooth soory i can't help u for now. just ve to get a bluetooth dongle
Also, those wit celtel mms shld download the one attached earlier. just go through the thread.

Nice job u have done here,especially in providing this file for Nokia s40 Mtn users.I guess it will be invaluable to s40 MTN subscribers,especially for those using Opera Mini,Opera Mini Mod and others.
I want to download it on my s60 Nokia 6680 and send it via a file explorer to a s40 phone.Will it work in this way?

@cafedeluv you have really done a good job. I can't beleive i havnt come across this thread when the biggest problem i am having is being discussed here. I use a Nokia6300, so I have bluetooth. But I don't uderstand what you mean by object push transfer. Is it not the ordinary bluetooth. Wait------- can i transfer that file to my phone with USB cable? I stil don't understand wella is it that the cheat doesn't work with manual settings or it needs a manual setting. I do use a manual setting but it aint stil working. @cafedeluv. I tried downloading it directly wit opera mod 2.06 to ma phone using ma celtel internet sim (though it bills now) but when i open it, it says file 4mat not supotd. D best u can do 4 me is to send it to my phone both mtn and celtel em em s. My numb again is 08023509408. And i use a nokia 3110c. Thanks wuld b xpecting.
