Any Nollywood Role Player Here?

I was wondering if there are any Nollywood players in Nairaland, especially those that shoot the videos, edit the videos or even actors/make up artistes etc?

Let's know what your role is and segment of the industry that is in huge demand today.

Still looking out for top video editors on this forum and what they use for the movies and possible role in Nollywood breakthrough.

I am an Insider as an Associate Producer with the best film production company in Nigeria and the manager of Emeka Enyiocha.

There are shortages of good editors, directors and DPs in Nollywood.
The good DPs are not even up to 10.

DP stands for Director of Photography.

I am an Associate Producer with Ark Resources Entertainment (ARE) in Surulere, Lagos.

You want to make a film?
We have all the required equipment with our own production studio.

ARE is currently shooting "Changing Faces" on 35mm in Ibadan.

Orikinla, I was just wondering if there are good lucrative opportunities in editing.I can practically use most of the video editing software like premiere, final cut etc etc.I also do start to finish - that is everything from shooting till the video  goes into the vcds and dvds. And most of all, i do alot of dvd authoring-- using adobe Encore or DVDIT, hollywood style dvds and develop a website for the movie too.
What are the chances of striking gold in the industry? And what softwares are the most common in the industry?

Hi Orikinla, I was wondering what it takes to get a part in a movie? do I have to sent in an audition tape or what? In addition, does ARE (Ark Resources entertainment ) have a website that someone in my position can go and get more information.  Thank you.

I need more info before I pack my bags and leave Canada for Nigeria A bege Undecided

If you can prove yourself, you can make it in Nollywood.

We have partners in the UK with an office in London. The DP of "Changing Faces" is British, the make up artist and the music director are also British. The Director Faruk can welcome any editor of world class standard.

Remember we are making a film on 35mm and film is not video.

It would be easier for those in Canada and the UK to meet with our partners in the UK if you are really serious.

If you can write screenplays, contact me. And I mean screenplays and not just scripts, you can contact me.  But, if you cannot write screenplays, please don't send any scripts to me.
If you are really good in writing screenplays, then I can make things happen for you.
Because, we still need good screenplays in the Nigerian film industry.
I write myself. But I want those who are better than me.

The directors I can recommend in Nollywood are very few and they respect me. Reginald Ebere, Chika Onu and Lancelot Imasuen.

LMFAO@ddizzle, I agree oooo

@Orikinla, we ( damsal and I ) are still waiting for a webside /address for aspiring actress like ourselves to help us acheive our dreams. Damsal is in Uk and I in Canada and a webside or a contact information of a producer will be a great help. i noticed that u posted an address for screenplayers earlier on and I was wondering if i can sent a photo/resume/e.t.c throught that mail.

Thanks

Seun,
You can meet the professional camera men and women at the Independent Television Producers Association of Nigeria (ITPAN) or contact Tunde Kelani's Mainframe. Ark Resources Entertainment (ARE) also has professional camera men and other experts.
