i saw the write up on Steven Worgu's purpoted move to pirates online but am yet to confirm it, Enyimba's last loss to cotton sport was annoying but i wasnt too surprised, they didnt take the game seriously because they had already qualified for the semis before the match was played, on a more serious note, these scandalous away defeats has to end if We are really serious on winning the CAF champions League this season, on Worgu's exit, its ok but Enyimba MUST NOT collect peanuts from clubs that are aspiring to sign him,i will be satisfied with the move if its to an European club of repute,Worgu has proved that he is worth the cash.

UP ENYI
Enyimba is a great club anyday, anytime with great players like otorogu, stephen worgu, ugah opara, ajibade omolade, okey odita etc. When they won their first two CAF trophies, they were impressive in their away games, but now, I don't know what is happening. Even before they qualified for the group stages, they were winning their away games. I believe they can still show what they are made of in their next game against Al Ahly.

Enyimba's next game against Al Ahly will be one of the most difficult games in their continental history, their poor away form this season isnt helping matters. The way out will be to beat the Egyptians with a large goal margin and then hold out for a draw in Egypt or at least a one goal defeat, but if they have woken up from their slumber they can as well go for the kill, home and away, i wish the PEOPLE'S ELEPHANT the best of luck,it will be a thing of joy and pride to see them against top European clubs in the world club championship next year, that alone should be a major motivation to cruise all the way to the final.

Trust me, there are clubs in Nigeria that are now playing better football than Eyimba. If you watch the NPL often yu'll agree with me. But Eyimba does really well when it comes to intrnational Competitions. My problem with them is that they ar not consistent. They are like Liverpool

Pirates are on the verge of signing Worgu when a transfer period open in January and another SA giant Kaizer chiefs is interested in the service of Otorogu.

I think if this boys are allowed to play in South Africa will be the best career move for them,SA league is getting international exposure,I am sure that in Nigeria and the rest of Africa SA games are televised.Next season according to PSL website the game might be shown to some countries in Europe and USA.
SA league is strong belief me,the only problem is we never take competition in africa seriously.Mainly because South Africans think that there is no honor in it,you rather win the league and cup game which have bigger prize money than continental championship.Teams always send their development side to play African competition cause they dont want to risk injuries to their players for league games.
And the other reason for this boys to come south is they will be paid better than players playing in Belgium and Scandavania's countries.

NO WAY! Enyimba without Worgu and Otorogu is practically nothing. Moreover if they want to move, i dont think SA league is the place for them, i think they are better than that.

I read in the weekly paper yesterday that Enyimba is asking Mamelodi Sundown to pay $1,4 million for Worgu and worgu is negotiating salaryof  $1,7 million per year.I think it is reducilous for a player that is not or was not a top scorer in his local league and not even part of the national team.Maybe halve of the money will do.

Sundowns in Worgu chase?
Submitted: 2 days ago

Nigerian striker Stephen Worgu has been the subject of much speculation regarding a move to South Africa and, in a conversation with the Siya crew today, he claimed to be in the dark.

He said: “Well, nothing concrete has really happened. I’m focusing on my football and my agent is focusing on the business side of my affairs…that’s why he’s my agent. I did hear someone say Mamelodi Sundowns are interested in me, but until my agent comes to me with something concrete, I will treat that as mere speculation. Perhaps the club’s President knows about this. We’re facing Al Ahly this weekend in the Caf Champions League and that’s where my focus is. As soon as I hear anything, I will let you know.”

Orlando Pirates are known to be chasing the stocky marksman and it seems that Chloorkop-based Sundowns are keeping a close watch on the Enyimba striker. He is the current leading goalscorer in the Champions League with eight goals.

Asked about coming to play in South Africa, Worgu said: “It’s a good league. Their games are shown on TV and I wouldn’t mind playing there. It’s the best place to market your talent to the world.”

@RSA
If Enyimba is negotiating 1.4 million dollars as the worth of their player what right have you to say otherwise except expressing your own personal opinion, if the South Africans want Worgu, they should be ready to break the bank to get him, otherwise i believe he should tarry a while and head to Europe or worst still join the Egyptian Giants Al Ahly as is being rumoured at the moment,
Worgu Claims Al Ahly Interest

Enyimba marksman Stephen Worgu has added extra spice to Sunday’s MTN CAF Champions League semifinal, first leg, against Egyptian giants Al Ahly by claiming the ‘Red Devils’ are interested in signing him.

Worgu is the leading scorer in this year’s competition and will be the main threat for Ahly in Aba, having netted 13 times in 12 games so far this campaign.

“Ahly are showing interest in me, and South African club Mamelodi Sundowns, but my mind is fixed on the MTN CAF Champions League for now,” he said.

Worgu has formed a lethal partnership up front with Ezenwa Otorogu, who has a healthy return of six goals himself.

Nna, just forget about getting any response from that useless management of Enyimba. They run one of the most useless websites any decent football club can boast of. A website that carries no news except sometimes 3-4 lines of message/news. is that a website? Nothing is click able on their website. Visit their home page and click on news headlines and tittles and there will be no news for you to read, but just photos that even some of them have stayed there since the past one month, just as if there are no places in Aba to purchase more films for snapping news photos. Absolutely Rubbish.

Try to click on the players and officials photo page and there is nothing, click on the club and all you have is just a little info about a club that have one of the richest history in nigeria's football clubs histories. Click on fanzone area and there is nothing. Click on contact us and there are so many contact source, but try contacting them for a piece of information and you will wait until thy kingdom come to receive any response from them.

About 6 months ago, i called the webmaster Farriel to complain about the ineffectiveness of their website and he promised to rectify all that i observed and complained to him, but that was it. Since then nothing was done. The most worst part of it is that you can't even register on their website to log on. So, i don't understand why they have log on section on their website and still request you to register before logging in. It's fuckking annoying that a website of a rich football club like Enyimba that have been on air since over 4 years has virtually nothing contained in it for it's fans. Absolutely nonsense  and useless web site. http://www.enyimbafc.net/

Dont even dare comparing South Africa to nigeria. South Africa is much more advanced than nigeria in all aspect. I can tell you that Enyimba is the only club in the whole of nigeria (with more football clubs than South Africa) with a web site, yet a non functionig website. Rubbish country.

I think Nigerian authorities  must pull up their socks,I know that once that is sorted most  major company in Nigeria and abroad will line up to pump money in your league just like in South Africa,Nigeria deserve to be up there in terms of organisation,we need strong leagues in Africa in terms of organisational structures so that we can develop our facilities and infrustructures, football in Africa can be as big as South Americas or even better europe. We can keep our top players and sell them only when the prize is right, like 40 million british pounds Grin or some record braking amounts Grin

I have gone through some of the websites that you provided, they are quite impressive, its such a shame that most top flight football teams in Nigeria do not have a website, Football administration in this country is terrible, most of the teams are owned by the various state governments and sponsors are completely absent from the scheme of things, its so pathetic.

Was the outcome ever in doubt? i am just suprised they didn't lose by a scandalous margin!! they had lost that match since the first leg when they could not win at home.Enyimba is notorious for their poor away record

To be honest though is Al Ahly the only club in Africa? i think this is their 4th straight final or thereabout

forget the scoreline man. . . . . . .  believe me, it was like the Samuel Peters and Klitschko fight - 'em Egyptians were so comfy that it was almost a stroll in the park.

I just hope Canon can upset Ahly. . . .  would be jolly good to have a new club stamp their insignia on that trophy - Ahly's grip on Africa is becoming "dictatoric"  Grin
