Re: Rapper Needs Record Deal by ladizzi1: 11:18am On Sep 28, 2006
veli, that was whack!, how can you steal another persons beat, its not gangster at all!
i'm a tupac fan and i should kill you for that. you made tha beat sound so irritating. keep working on your ryhme skills. if thats what you are putin in your album i wouldn't buy it even thgough it was free. work harder you've got the dream then grab it and stop stealing beats!!!!.

You don't need a record deal. The best way to make money as a musician is to perform in public. People can pirate an audio CD or music video but not a live performance. Your physical presence can't be stolen!

Your music is ok, but there's definite room for improvement. I'm not a music expert though.

Makavellis:

Actually it might be an idea to check out www.myspace.com because there you will get noticed: upload your demo in the Musicans section and go from there- there are many many contacts to be made all over the world - simplest way to get a contract is by asking someone from myspace or getting professional advice after someone has heard your demo. www.mixposure is another good invaluable resource to use - it is filled with professional and amateurs bands, musicians, recording companies and so on - and also has a good community vibe to it.

In a countre known for pirating Eedris AbdulKareem's debut album still sold over 5 million copies nation wide
I guess he just a special case tho

You're right that some records will sell millions, but it's not smart to pin your career hopes on achieving what less than ten musical artistes (out of the thousands of musicians in the country) have achieved so far.

Even a mediocre musician can make a living by singing during weddings, funerals, and other social events in general. An above average musician will be able to organize concerts and charge a gate fee. When you have passed that level, you can get a record deal to gain even more exposure so that you'll be able to raise your performance fee!

@ Seun
Your right, there is little no chance that he will just blow-up out of no where
he needs to start somewhere. I advice him to go to the local club and see if he can get some time on the stage

Re: Rapper Needs Record Deal by Nobody: 6:02am On Oct 07, 2006
Hello Makavelis, contact me. I'm interested in producing you.
Re: Rapper Needs Record Deal by Christino(m): 2:37pm On Oct 07, 2006
Makavelis,

One, you are using a pirated name

Two, this sound track is that of Tupac's Ghetto Gospel, how come u produced it in 2003?

Three, I thought it was bow wow rapping, can't we be original for once?

You can get a deal, you know to start from somewhere, @ least I have Nigerians like that -

1. Maintain (uncountable s'track pirates)
2. P- Square (get squared)
3. Sound sultan (still back in d days)
4. Platashun Boys (Plantashun Boys)

So you won't be the first, but like 2face's hit, please be original. I wish you the best.

@ladizzi1,what u sayin about him stealing another beat and it not being gangstar.like he said it was one of his first n to practice u use any beat.
@makavelis.
i think you should upload one of your new raps for us to hear and stop tellling us about how much you have improved.because am sure you would be able to get better responses with a better demo.if possible,or should i say for your own good, upload one of your best demos n with a bitrate a bit higher dan ur first
would be expecting your demo.
