, No, I don't mean like a jail bird. In fact, its great news. Okay, let me fill you in.R&B sensation, Faze is signed to Akon,s label, Konvict Records and its official.The plantasun Boi inked the deal when the Senegalese-American singer visited the gold coast city of Accra in late 2006. The association is expected to produce an album by the last quarter of 2008.In an exclusive footage of the post-signing ceremony Akon said"I just want to let y'all know that my man, Faze, a singer out of Nigeria, has just been co-signed to Konvict Records.Y'all should expect an "Akon introducing Faze" Album before the end of 2008. Before then I'll be supporting his music in different ways, you know how we do, " Faze whose new album, Independent, is doing well in the market said he's excited by the deal.He also expressed appreciation for the way his new album has been received. The singer revealed that he has an exclusivity deal with MTV Base Africa for the video of his lead single, Kolomental, meaning the video will only air on the music station for two weeks before it airs on any other programme or station. That's some points for an independent artiste.
