So likewise it is for a woman.
We Live in a world where abnormality and abominations has become normal.

Been reading your comments here ever since. You are always on point but on this, you goofed. Were you to be a Scott, would kilt be a sin to thee? There are trousers for men and there are trousers for women just like in the Bible times when men and women wore gowns but made in different ways. Some culture and traditions here in Nigeria have men wearing wrappers, their women also use wrappers but made specifically for them.

Let the lady go and get her appropriate outfit. We too Dey allow religion drive us nuts!

i will give you an analogy about living conditions. you can be a vulcaniser in lekki phase 1and just to blow air inside somes tire is 200 per tire. and for 4 tires its 800 naira. yo can have 20 customers a day and make 20000 naira but the place you are making the money is an expensive area so when you want to eat lunch you will spend like 2000. OR you can live at ile epo oja where the place is economically rundown and to put air in someones tire is 30 naira per tire and that is 120 for the whole set and a day you can make 3000 naira and for lunch food is cheap because it is a poor area and you can eat lunch for 200 naira. so the guy in lekki makes 20,000 but his lunch is 2000 and his profit is 18000 or you can live in ile epo oja where you make 3000 and lunch is 200 and profit is 2800 a day. the choice is yours. i choose to live in expensive area where i can make big money but of course prices of things are more expensve too. its give and take grin grin

I Dey follow your responses since but this one wey you just do no make sense. It means You really don’t know what is going on right there. Making more money in the so-called expensive area is a fallacy.

Nowhere will you eat lunch for 200 in Lagos. And price for gauging your tire across the state is almost the same, ‘cos they have have an association that controls the price.

No argue with anybody, make your money and live where pleases you and enjoy your money, spend it the way you like. You owe no one no apology.

It would have been incontestable in giving southeast the presidency if Nigeria is still united. But we are living in a different era. Buhari has torn the fabric of unity in this country. A common sense of even giving Easterners the post of Secretary to federal govt would have starved Nnamdi KANU of followership. Unimaginable cost is now been deployed in funding the army to keep Nigeria from disintegrating. I remember when people mourn when a soldier lose their life in fighting boko haram. Now nobody cares. Some folks even rejoice. Patriotism is now at the lowest. Of what benefit to the unity of the country in south west having both the Vice presidency and speakership?. It's not political sagacity but foolishness. Common sense is not really common.

Don’t confuse me bro. Where lies your grievances? Against the South West or against the entire Nigeria political setting?

When southwest had no principal rep on the top 5 political position in the latter part of GEJ administration, what they the do? They made the right permutations and the right alignment…this is politics, a game of numbers…let anyone/region who wants to be president make the right move.

I am vexed at Peter Obi and the likes that they are not making the right noise by this time.

NYSC / Re: Why Do Some Male Corpers Sleep With Their Female Students? by Niyinficient(m): 9:39am On Dec 17, 2021
Let your student be 90 years old. It’s is ethically wrong to have sexual relationships with him or her as far as she/he is still your charge.

Our society has normalized all of these rubbish. The school principals and teachers are worse. When I was serving in the north back then, teachers marry pupils, after having secret affairs with them for long. This happens like everywhere in the country.

Some of these students too are to be blamed, they throw themselves cheaply at these Corp members, I know how many of my students wanted to come say hello to me in my house then, I never gave them the chance because I know what their “hello” meant. Awon alakoba spoilt brats!!!!

WoundedLamb:

The fact that your first reaction was to start separating the age grades in order to justify some is what I find appalling. Your comment was a full blown defense rather acknowledging the decay in society.

Even for those above 18, it is still TOTALLY wrong to sleep with your secondary school student you're asked to teach and take care of. How will parents have the courage to send thier kids to school if they know thier teachers might just decide to sleep with them since they're above 18 anyway? It is a predatory move that you and I should condemn for the sake of our future. If you are sent to a secondary school as teacher, it is because you're believed to be old and reasonable enough to direct and teach the younger ones. If you're using your own age as an excuse, then you're saying that assumption was wrong.

There's simply no justification for sleeping with the girls you're asked to teach. The school should be a safe space where parents would be comfortable sending thier kids to.

Proven goal scoring records at where ?

I will start Osimhen.....Onuachu ....i doubt if Onuachu cant score five goals in France not to talk of Italy. Even though Osimhen is not scoring...his work rate is better than Onuachu, the former has got speed, heading abilities, and accurate passes....the latter lacked all these.

TarOrfeeek:

I'll start Onuachu

Reason is he has proven record of scoring goals. Quote unfortunately he was unable to move to Europe big 4 leagues.

Osmihen on the other hand has hit form. At the top he hasn't shown the consistency required from a top 9, yet.

Sports / Re: Mikel, Okocha Or Kanu: Who Was The Most Successful Nigerian Player by Niyinficient(m): 5:01pm On Sep 16, 2021
Adejoke123:
Over the years, there have always been debate about who the greatest Nigerian Player of all time is. Kanu Nwankwo launched Nigerians to the Internal scene by being one of the first Nigerians to play for major European big boys and winning the Champions League in 1995 with Ajax.

Firstly, the greatest of all time (GOAT) is always a controversial topic in any field. This is because people use different criteria in determining who the GOAT is, and that’s why it is subjective.

But it is important to note that there’s a difference between the greatest and best player ever. Best is about ability alone while the other encapsulates everything, and that’s why I believe Ronaldo is the greatest player of his generation.

Having explained what greatness is all about, I have decided to narrow down the players that can be considered as Nigeria’s greatest player ever to three.

No disrespect to the likes of Segun Odegbami, Felix Owolabi, and Christian Chukwu, but they don’t tick all boxes, and also, they only appeal to older generations.

So the players I have picked are John Mikel Obi, Nwankwo Kanu and Austin Jay-Jay Okocha. The criteria I used in picking out this three are honours, influence, popularity and then talent.

While the likes of Sunday Oliseh, Finidi George, Victor Ikpeba and Emmanuel Amuneke also have a shout, I decided to go for those three because they tick all boxes.

Before revealing my choice, I’ll take a look at their careers.

Mikel is the most successful player among the three following his success with Chelsea. The 32-year-old won two Premier League titles, three FA Cups, the Champions League and Europa League during his time with the Blues.

However, while titles are important in a player’s career, it is unfair to use it as the lone criterion in the ‘GOAT’ debate.

Titles won is a function of the team, and in fairness, Mikel won these titles because he played in a time Chelsea dominated English football.

Although he made over 300 appearances for the Blues, he was not really that important in the team. Chelsea would still have won those trophies without Mikel.

He did not have the same influence as Drogba, Lampard or Terry even though he featured regularly. On the international scene, Mikel won the Africa Cup of Nations in 2013, but his national team career mirrored that of his club career.

He had over 80 caps for Nigeria, but Mikel never imposed his authority in games. He was named captain following Enyeama’s retirement, but he was overshadowed by the likes of Victor Moses and Ahmed Musa in big games.

While his time as captain was commendable, his influence on the pitch was average at best.

The second name on my list is Kanu Nwankwo. Like Mikel, Kanu also had a successful club career first with Ajax and later with Arsenal.

The lanky forward won the Champions League, three Eredivisie titles, the UEFA Super Cup and Intercontinental Cup with Ajax.

After leaving Ajax, Kanu joined Inter Milan where he won the UEFA Cup. He left Inter to sign for Arsenal, and during his time with the Gunners, he won two Premier League titles and two FA Cups.

He also won the FA Cup with Portsmouth, scoring the winner in 2008. However, unlike Mikel, Kanu was a key player in some of the teams he played for.

At Arsenal, he is fondly remembered for the hat-trick he scored against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. At the same time, he also scored some great goals against Tottenham Hotspur, Middlesbrough and Deportivo La Coruna.

As stated earlier, he also scored the goal that won Portsmouth the FA Cup in 2008. He also won a lot of individual honours.

Kanu is a two time BBC and CAF African Player of the year, while he also finished 11th and 23rd in the 1996 and 1999 Ballon d’Or awards respectively.

But success eluded Kanu on the international stage, and that’s the only blemish in his illustrious career. His only glory moment for Nigeria came at the Atlanta 1996 Olympics where he played a major role in Nigeria’s gold medal victory.

Despite representing Nigeria at six AFCON editions, Kanu never scored a goal, while he also did not win a title. At the 2000 edition, he was one of the two players that missed their spot-kicks against Cameroon.

Nevertheless, despite his lack of trophy with the national team, Kanu appealed to a lot of Nigerians and was a role model for a lot of people, especially after coming back from heart surgery. His popularity, influence and individual honours give him the edge over Mikel.

The last person on my list is Austin Jay-Jay-Okocha. Okocha never had much success at club level, but he was the most talented and popular among the three.

Only a few players both present and past could attempt what Okocha do with the ball. He was a magician and also created a lot of unforgettable moments.

He is hugely popular with Nigerians for his trickery, creativity and ability to create something out of the ordinary. Okocha was part of the Super Eagles team that dominated the 90s, while he also played a leading role in the team in the early parts of the new Millenium.

Of the three players picked, It is Okocha that Nigerians connect with most. He carried the country so many times and was a great role model.

Ask any aspiring footballer which Nigerian player they admire most, and the answer will be Okocha. The Premier League is the popular league in the country, and Okocha is one of the reasons why it has a massive following.

Although Mikel’s move to Chelsea also contributed to Premier League’s popularity in Nigeria, Okocha’s impact was more significant.

His move to Bolton came at a time DSTV started showing the Premier League. And he never disappointed as he delivered brilliant performances which earned him legendary status at the Reebok stadium.

Jay-Jay was so good that he was named in Daily Telegraph’s Premier League best 100 players. He was the only Nigerian on that list which says a lot given he never won the Premier League.

He was also named in Pele’s top 125 living footballers. He was twice BBC African Footballer of the year and was a runner-up twice for the CAF award, and was once nominated for the Ballon d’Or.

So Who Among The Three Is Nigeria’s Greatest Player?

Kanu and Mikel achieved so much at club level, but they don’t have the same influence as Okocha. Kanu won a lot of teams and individual honours and should have been the obvious choice given he is also popular among Nigerians.

But as stated earlier, he never won anything for the National team, and that counts against him. Okocha may not have many titles as the two, but he is hugely popular among Nigerians and also the most talented.

It’s why he is racking up major endorsements even in retirement. Kanu and Mikel may have a lot of trophies, but Okocha remains Nigeria’s greatest player.

Source: https://kikiotolunews.com/mikel-okocha-or-kanu-who-was-the-most-successful-nigerian-player/

OP.

This your own opinion and it is not objective....you were quick to pick the statistics for the various players you have listed according to your preference...i.e your personal like.

Now in terms of rating....i would rate Mikel as the most succesful of them all, followed by Kanu and lastly Okocha. This is why.

First you need to apologised to Mikel for saying he had added nothing to the Nigerian and the Chelsea...this is really really absurd and appalling to say.

let me start with Chelsea...Mikel played key parts in all the his triumphs with Chelsea...the 2007 cup agasint Arsenal, did you watch it? The 2009 league success, did you watch it? as well as other triumphs. Specifically, if you watch the 2012 champions league and you could say Mikel did not bring anything to the Chelsea team, you need to ask for forgiveness....it was a defensive triumph for the blues and Mikel played a key part, most specifically in the semi-final and the final....football pundits round the world praised Mikel for role in the game that Chelsea had to defend from start to finish. If Mikel was that useless and brought nothing to the team....why did the various 12 coaches that coached the team from 2007 till 2016 always have Mikel in their part? Some one played ten solid seasons in a top English club and despites the various players that were bought and sold for his position and you say such person brought nothing to the team This is pure hatred

Now to the National team...Mikel did well for Nigeria, he might not be the flaboyant and play-to-the gallery type of midfielder, but he played his roled very well, with sleek passes, defensive works, and goals when needed. In 2013 Afcon Triump, all statistics favoured Mikel to be the best player of the tournament ahead of Pitroipa, but French and English voting wahala robbed him off that glory....

Austin Okocha was my childhood footballing hero...i wrote several poems about him....but now, i know better, Okocha was more of a show baller than a team player....when i rewatch Naija old matches and see what Okocha was doing, if he does that in modern football, he would have rotten on the bench...dude would dribble and dribble and would be blind to his number 9 for the final passes...which on most occasions left his strikers frustrated...in club football, what did he achieve? compared to that of Kanu and Mikel ? Remember our loss to Denmark in France 98, kai...i nearly wan die....Okocha was just playing to the gallery and this was so evident!!!! In Tunisia 94, he put up a good show for the team but the likes of Amunike, Yekini, etc were ahead of him in terms of performance...at the '96 Olympic...Kanu was definitely the star man..Okocha was a fantastic individual player than a team player.

To Papilo, he is a combination of Mikel and Okocha, has got the goals, the passes, the dribble, the individual and the team plays! Kudos to the big man for Shining at AJax, Inter, Arsenal, Portsmouth and Nigeria...its unfortunate that he has no AFCON goal and not AFCON goal medal.

Now my rating

Mikel; Won 1 UCL, 1 EL, 2 EP, 3 FA, 1 League cup, 1 CMS, 1 AFCON
Kanu; 1 OG, 4 Eredivise, 2 EP, 1 EP, 1 SP, 1 NPFL, 2 FA, 1-U17 WC
Okocha; 1 OG, 1 AFCON, 1 intertoto cup, 1 Saarland Cup, 1 Oberliga Südwest, 1 Prime Minister CUP, 1 Ataturk cup, 1 Trophée des Champions,

Most Successful is

Family / Re: I Was A Husband: My Experience by Niyinficient(m): 1:26pm On May 14, 2020
tunmiluabi:
My story is quite long, please run through with patience.

I married my wife about 11 years ago. By the way I am 46 years old. Before I married my wife, I was not doing well neither was my wife. She was working with a multinational company, earning an equivalent of N40,000. I had a small graphic design business after trying many times to find a good job. I looked for jobs and contracts without any respite. But At this this time, my wife's support was good and I did appreciate every bit of it. At lest we survived on the low...

As time went on, I got a job in one international corporate training company as a Statistics and Business Analysis Instructor, was earning about 90,000 naira. During the times before I got my job, we had accumulated debt and my new job provided us an opportunity to pay them up.

We decided we were going to save part of her salary every month for servicing the debt and save the rest for a rainy day. I was supposed to pay the rent and all other domestic bills, light, kids school fees etc.. Some time she helped with food/groceries. After sometime, she advised we move to a bigger apartment. We still had a daughter by then. I obliged and we did.

To cut the story short, after four years of working, the company folded up because of government policies and we were all laid off. This meant we had to prepare for the hard life ahead. It was hectic and devastating. Me being me, I took it with all sense of grace and hope things will be fine. But the more I thought about this the worse things got. One day out of curiosity I asked my wife if it would be nice to have another child and she advised it was not the best time. I understood and agreed. I then advised my wife if we could start a business and with some savings we had, maybe I could use it to enhance my former business, maybe things might be better this time. She did not show any interest. This time I discovered changes in my wife.

One day she asked me if she could use part of them money to do a course, honestly I was shocked but asked why she did not oblige to my own request. She said "its my money I can use it for whatever I want". My wife however did the course.

To cut the story short, 3 years down the line, my wife stopped having sex with me and this continued for a long time. I became like "shit in her eyes". I lost a bit of confidence though. she would wake me with insults and barrage of dirty words. Because of our child, I agreed to stay a home and try to work online and seek clients and jobs from old client. It was not bad but not promising.

Fortunately for us, my wife got a promotion and her salary was increased to about 170,000. This actually brought out the worst in my wife. Her calmness disappeared and all decorum was buried. We would quarrel everyday and not talk for weeks. She became really mean and controlled everything at home. Please note, she is not a bad woman but can't explain the reasons up till date. I was with no option but to query her sincerity as a wife and that continued for a long time. Our sex life became zero, she would tell me having sex would make her pregnant and was not ready for a second child. Her stories kept on changing and became even worse, rather than coming home she would pass by her mom and be there till late in the night before coming home.

After about 3 years of trying to get something to do, I finally got a place on the island sometime in February 2018, where I would be paid a stipend of 50,000. In addition, I would use my free time to design, print and sell business cards to small companies. The overall income was small but enough for some immediate obligations at home. But to be fair, that was the best I could get since I have not had money in a long time. Unfortunately my wages were not consistent due to challenges the company was facing. But I used the Business card printing to augment wherever possible.

Later in 2018 around September, I discovered that my wife had been having an illicit engagement. She had a male fried and I finally got to know about it and confronted her. She did not deny it, she begged and I forgave her. Anyway, I had made up my mind to forgive because of the kid and I never told anyone till date. Moreover, since we were not making love that was of course enough reason for the drastic measure, I told myself. To be sincere I had lost feeling for my wife and sex was difficult. We finally started having sex but I had little to offer her. I would pretend and even have to watch Indecency to be able to have sex with her. I was dead inside. At least my wife was still with me. That was my solace. I guess trust was broken. She however continued with her escapades. The quarrels increased and got worse. There and then name calling became our breakfast and dinner. She advised that since I would never look at her the same and bringing little or nothing to the table that I was free to go. The quarrels went on for quite some time, my wife will go very violent on me some of the times. I am marshal artist with black belt and I have great restraint - for me, fighting and going violent on her was never on the table. One day I thought there was a need to move out and I did indicated to her that I was not comfortable living with her anymore.. That wherever I am, I will see how I can take care of the kids.

She did not care and things became difficult for me. I felt maybe I could stay for sometime, It might be a difficult condition but still not impossible. This became my Achilles heels. There and then I knew my relationship had broken and irreparable. I accepted there was nothing I could, but to be patient and tried to convince myself about our situations and believed our situation was bad, but God’s willing we would overcome. The fight even got worse and became very violent and physical, I would normally just take the beating or hold her hands to avoid any injuries.

The quarrels was beginning to be in the glare of my Kids and since it was not abating, there was little I could do to change the situation. I finally made up my mind on the 19th of May 2019 to move out, but actually moved out on the 30th of May, 2019. Before then on the 26th of May, 2019, I discovered my wife was again engaging in the illicit affair. She would claim she was going to church only to be found at a different location. Honestly I can’t blame her, I blame myself and the situation that caused the demise of our once cherished marriage. At this point in time I realised I had lost and had no fight in me anymore. My kids are still very young. Everyday quarrels, lack of sincere engagement, denials upon denials and her fear of facing her “DEMON” with little chance of her understanding the consequence of her actions - I was left with no choice but to stop FIGHTING. I had no fight left in me. The ultimate decision was to leave. I did not inform her parent about the issue because I had indicated to her I did not want them to look at her differently.

God so good, I got a 500,000 Naira job through a friend in an oil company with a 3bedroon in Lekki fully paid up for 3years by the company. By the way, I am Data Analyst but never practiced for a long time. I studied Computer engineering but for a long time grace did not smile on me. I take care of my kid and I really don't hate her and I am at peace with everything. She still has her job and doing well.

Please note that she did not tell me to leave, I left on my own volition. I could not share the same bed with my wife anymore she apparently could not muster enough strength to stop all iniquities for a conversation that will help see things through. Rather she is turning to blame it on me. We have however resolved to part on a friendly note for the sake of our child.

My reason for posting this is because most us sit behind the desk and computers and do not understood the demons everyone is battling. On a bad day, the best husbands are MONSTER, while the best wives are DEVILS. When we make judgment as males or female. We should not forget about our female child/children, same goes for the male child. I don't know what my wife tells people about what happened but I really don't care and I have made up my mind never to defend myself.

Thanks for reading.

Tunmi

Car Talk / Re: Toyota Corolla Or Mini Bus Suzuki. Which One Is Suitable For Transport Business? by Niyinficient(m): 1:00pm On May 11, 2020
Goldencheese:
It depends on your routes or the routes you want to ply. Would you like to drive long distance because UBER customers may require that?

Two, what type of customers do you want? Do you want the regular customers or UBER customers made up mainly of the middle class upwards?

Three, what hours of operations do you want to run your business. UBER gives you the latitude to operate during the night, pick up night crawlers or club rats or night workers and all that. Although with Corvid-19, there might not be much customer traffic during the night.

Four, UBER will give you more peace of mind from Agbero disturbance than the Suzuki bus. Are you willing to put up or not to put up with their wahala?

Lastly, how much do you want to make. I think you may make more money with the car than with the bus.

But both vehicles if well managed and without accidents can give you good returns. But mind those points above and base your decision on them.

All the best and stay safe.

Sensible advice from a sensible person. OP pls think about what he/she said. Exactly what I had in mind

You mean More Malaria patients were discharged?
Audio Discharge.
I keep asking myself and the entire Nation what the hospitals and agencies discharging patients has been administering to the patients that aid such fast recovery and recuperation.
And why can’t the Medical researchers, virologist and Other health professionals come together and enquire for that special gene, trait of biological concept of the body of those discharged patients and collect sample while the push effort to produce probably a temporary vaccine for the main time.

I was going to ask you, what did Italy, Spain, France, China, UK, US and co give those who recovered in their countries? Why didn’t they give such to those that died.....but then I realized you really need to fill your knowledge gap on this issue.

How did they know she died of Corona virus? Creating unnecessary tension.

Don’t mind them

The resident association chairman and his excos are just being insensitive, the case wasn’t confirmed as that of CoVid-19. As learned people we thought they are, Who told them the person has Covid? Is it NCDC that they said didn’t respond or who?

They issued that circular to stop people from passijg through the estate to places like Alausa, cmd, Berger and environ. No wonder they quickly locked the exits and entrances. This same thing they did during The Otedola fire incident that made some people sue them.

It was a case of a sick person who came in from Imo state bedridden and later died few days after coming to Lagos (according to the report going round).

Education / Re: Covenant University In Land Tussle As Family Seeks Possession Order by Niyinficient(m): 9:14am On Mar 04, 2020

When the land was acquired with all legal document between 1997 and 1999, where were the families? They long lavished the millions paid then and now resorted to gold-digging.

This is the same kind of attitude that has led Ota to be perpetually underdeveloped despite development close to them like their skin. Many multinationals of pharmaceuticals, education, manufacturing etc have exited the town due to her People’s greed, illiteracy, selfishness, backwardness and retrogressive thought lines. They squeeze, milk and extort these companies at the expense of the CRS meant for the development of their land.

Like Oyedepo or not, we know he is a man of due diligence and will not do anything outside the frame of legality, or that will tarnish his name or his Faith.

On the verge of me being petty, check the names of the families....a typical Ota phenomenon. I spent years in Ota growing up and we know these things

This is really bad. How can you overturn the voice of the people. I think Buhari is systematically destroying APC. That son of a bitch, I can easily see the background power play at work here . Gaining bayelsa would easily Give the southern APC more war chest and influence. Tinubu where you Dey now ? This is more and more leaving the southern APC to be at the mercy of the northern APC. Why would Tanko make Mary Odili a staunch Pro PDP head such judgement. Too bad Oshiomhole and the southern party leaders slept on this.
