ISIS has claimed responsibility for the deadly Christmas market truck crash in Berlin, a report says.

The Iraqi Popular Mobilization Force tweeted that the terror group was taking credit for the incident, which left at least 12 people dead and over 50 injured at major public market Monday.

President Barack Obama said on Thursday the United States will retaliate against Russian hacking last month’s presidential election to boost Donald Trump’s bid for the White House, according to reports

“I think there is no doubt that when any foreign government tries to impact the integrity of our elections that we need to take action,” Obama told NPR radio.

“And we will, at a time and place of our own choosing.”

“Some of it may be explicit and publicized,” the president added. “Some of it may not be.”

NPR said Obama avoided endorsing a CIA conclusion that Russia hacked into email accounts of Democratic Party institutions and officials with the specific goal of hurting the party’s candidate Hillary Clinton and helping Republican Donald Trump win the election.

Obama has ordered US intelligence agencies to conduct a full review of the hacking and report back to him before he leaves office on Inauguration Day January 20.

“There are still a whole range of assessments taking place among the agencies,” Obama told NPR.

NEWS CONFERENCE

The full interview is set to air Friday morning, hours before Obama is scheduled to give a year’s end news conference.

“And so when I receive a final report, you know, we’ll be able to, I think, give us a comprehensive and best guess as to those motivations,” Obama said.

The president’s language on retaliation was not new.

When US intelligence agencies took the extraordinary step in October of publicly accusing Russia of staging cyberattacks against American political organizations, officials used similarly tough terms.

“We will take action to protect our interests, including in cyberspace, and we will do so at a time and place of our choosing,” a senior administration official told AFP at the time.

Yahoo has detected a three-year old security breach that enabled a hacker to compromise over one billion user accounts, breaking the company's own humiliating record for the biggest security breach in history.

They disclosed it on Wednesday 2016 that it occurred in August 2013, more than a year before a separate hack that Yahoo announced nearly three months ago which took place in 2014. That breach affected at least 500 million users, which had been the most far-reaching hack until the latest revelation.

"Simply everyone that has a Yahoo account should be concerned," Robert Siciliano, a US-based security analyst

Yahoo has more than a billion monthly active users, although some have multiple accounts and others have none at all. An unknown number of accounts were affected by both hacks.

In both attacks, the stolen information included names, email addresses, phone numbers, birthdates and security questions and answers.

The company says it believes bank-account information and payment-card data were not affected. But hackers also apparently stole passwords in both attacks. Technically, those passwords should be secure; Yahoo said they were scrambled twice - once by encryption and once by another technique called hashing.

It is unclear how many Yahoo users were affected by both attacks. The internet company has more than 1 billion active users, but it is not clear how many inactive accounts were hacked.

“What’s most troubling is that this occurred so long ago, in August 2013, and no one saw any indication of a breach occurring until law enforcement came forward,” said Jay Kaplan, the chief executive of Synack, a security company. “Yahoo has a long way to go to catch up to these threats.”

A troubled and terrified nurse trapped in the besieged city of Aleppo has killed herself to avoid being raped by Syrian Army, it has been reported.

A suicide note reportedly from the woman has been published in which she says she will soon kill herself “because I do not want several members of the Assad Regime to savour raping me” as they did to several others .

It comes after other reports of women killing themselves to avoid rape and sexual abuse by the so called government soldiers who have taken over the war zone devastated city.
One report said not less than 20 women had killed themselves in one morning.


Some of the things the unnamed woman said before killing herself can be read below (Translated in English) :

“I am one of the woman in Aleppo who will soon be raped in just moments..there are no more weapons o men that can stand between us and the animals who are about to come called the ‘country’s army’.

"I am committing suicide because the Day of Resurrection has taken place in Aleppo and I don’t think Hell-Fire will be worse than this.."

"I am committing suicide because I do not want several members of the Assad Regime to come raping me while just yesterday they were afraid to say the word ‘Aleppo’."

I will conclude by saying that your verdicts have become meaningless to me so save it for yourself and your family..
