The 2006 Honda accord V6 is a sleeper sedan it's no joke tho.. watched a video on YouTube of how the accord smoked a Chrysler 300 2010 model.. couldn't even catch up
true bro, that 06/07 Accord de run o, even the 4 plugs is not a push over in the hands of a pro fast and furious kind of a driver, let alone the V6,honestly sometimes it moves as if it has higher HP than what it was claimed it has.

e dey baffle me oo... talkless driving the acura TL or RL with over 270 to 300+ HP. dat means you be smoking all those benz E350s and Lexus Es. Honda are really doing well with dia punchy sleeper engines. But the only worthy contender is the infiniti G or M Kingreign should explain better.

they gave you advice base on the fact that you are coming from a V6,and anything v6 is talking about more power, reason why it looked like they talking muscle cars, make you know complain about less power tomorrow ,if you are coming from a 4 cylinder car all this discussion won't have come up,it very strange to be used to V6 and suddenly back to 4plugs without issues, but what did I know, you sound like someone that know already what he want what the point of asking and opening the thread then.?

Bros be calming down. I haven't used a honda brand, i haven't even testdriven one.
I stated earlier that i came from a Mercedes c200 i4 engine to a lexus V6, performance is not what am after, i need a daily beater and evil spirit appeals to me. I just need to be reassured that it's a good choice that's why i started this thread. But thanks for the pointer.

An acura TL 2004 model with a 3.2 (250hp) will destroy the ES absolutely. The I kid you not. Guess what? The TL offers even similar levels of refinement and luxury as the ES. The ELS audio system of the TL absolutely blows the Mark Levinson of the ES out of this world. The TL looks sharper and more modern and sleeker, the ES looks like a grand pa boat!

For an FWD, the TL handles very well, the ES is very bland to drive, not engaging at all.
Sir, you have finished ES kpatakpata grin

The evil spirit is actually the only Honda sedan that appeals to me aesthetically. It's a nice ride, trust me.

It even has lesser torque than the 8th gen.
The 7th gen accord 03-07 is 212 and 211 ib.ft rated torque

While the 8th gen 08 - 12 is rated 248 and 254ib.ft torque rating respectively.

As much as i enjoy my es330 which has been a performer with a touch of luxury, i am tempted to try the Honda brand.
I hope it's going to be a good choise.
I need your opinion on this one Kingreign, Gazzuzz, Norey, other nairalanders.

As a daily driver, it will end in premium tears.
My reasons, from 1st hand experience:
1. Honda hasn't perfected the VCM technology so the VCM module might malfunction over time.
2. Catalytic converter will get blocked and destroy the engine.

However, the car is superb to drive.
I had big tyres on mine to increase stability.
My cruise control was always set at 160 km/hr.
I don't throttle on the highway. I only accelerate if i want to go beyond that.
Steering rack got bad and i refused to change it because i loved the stiffness on the highway.
Car got me to my house in Lagos from Benin in 3.5 hours.
The gear changes could have been more enjoyable if it was a 6 or 7 speed auto.
Engine broke on 180 km/hr when i was about setting another record. Oil pressure nonsense wahala.
Yeye motor.
My verdict:
Fun to drive, acceptable fuel efficiency but not durable.

its about power to weight ratio. 06-07 is listed to do 0-60mph in about 5.8secs while 08-12 is around 6.2secs. The latter will most likely catch up at higher speeds due to more hp and torque.

it's true definitely the 08-12 will catch up at higher speeds.. thou the 06-07 is lighter.

But wanna know why the 2019-2020 accord 2.0T rated at 252 hp and 273 ib-ft of torque is faster than a 2019 Camry rated at 301hp and 267 ib-ft of torque. watched the drag race on YouTube the Camry took of off at first leaving the honda behind some minutes later the honda catched up and kept going. The honda won the race
