You'll find more opportunities in Asaba in comparison to Benin. No high paying jobs in Benin.. As said above me, Asaba has higher cost of living.

U cey find work for benin. Did u just get back to your senses. No work. Unless u r a yahoo boy,runs gals,entrepreneur biz with low pay to staffs..no work. Pos with hotel and beer joints,car wash,car stands both local and classy. Full both Asaba and benin.

Move to Lagos..Asaba advantage is its closeness to Onitsha..Move to Lagos bro.. I'm Igbo from Egbema Rivers State.

I’ve lived in both so I’ll tell you what I know. Asaba is a civil servant city. Apart from civil service, there are shops and hotels. That’s all. It’s a cool place to live, no noise and very calm but if you want a job- it has almost nothing to offer. Asides that, most things are expensive. That stupid Ogbonogo market abi Wetin them call am. Food stuff are expensive. Also, gadgets and clothes are expensive too ( yep even though onitsha is just across so maybe that’s not a big deal) and rent.
Oh Yahoo boys are kings here too


As for Benin, it’s pretty much the same. The yahoo boys. Civil servants. No jobs per say. Hotels and supermarkets.

Here’s where they differ, Asaba is calm and serene. Benin is not. Benin is also much more bigger and with more people. Sometimes I think Asaba is just four roads. There might be more blue collar hustles in Benin- plus a lot of tech companies are planning to shift there soon. There’s also some potential for the city. Asaba, I’m not even sure they have Uber or taxify. Not the point I’m making but I see a lot of unorthodox business likes logistics thriving in the city. The rent and food is also much more affordable compared to Asaba. Much rougher tho. But definitely more jobs in Benin (for me )


In Nigeria , there’s really less opportunities outside Lagos but in this case it’s a matter of choose your poison.

I’m Yoruba by the way so I have no bone in the matter. Just what I noticed from spending 3 years in Asaba and 2 in Benin.

Benin city provides more cultist

While Asa na provides more uhrobo and ugheli folks

We only know Onitsha as a market place

Dere is a big difference between office jobs and market selling

Wetin u dey find go benin unless u want to work as filling station attendant or work in a beer parlour.
Security wise sef benin was much better under oshiomole.
But u can set up a beer parlour and peppersoup joint.
Or sell early morning kai kai. They patronize those kind of places in benin.

If you are not from Benin or Edo keep away from Edo for jobs . I was there and the tribalism there was nothing to compare to the igbos . The Benin are fetish and if you try to hstle anything with them na 6ft . The cliche " I go bust your head" na there e dey pass . They are very wild there , upper saponba is one of the worse places to stay and live in Benin . No night life if you re night crawler , once is 7 pm you are roaming some dangerous places you are on your own oo

none.......there is absolutely nothing in that two states....my advice to any graduate etc , who is looking for opportunity should come to lagos or go to these states eg ogun, kaduna, kano, oyo, rivers and kwara.....abuja also is not a bad idea.....


The rest states i didnt mention are totally useless
