Online buying and selling doesn't start and end on Twitter....... same with Freedom of speech.

Facebook, Instagram etc are still available.
Some of them already built a huge following on Twitter over the years and can't start afresh on other platforms nor tell their existing customers to go and create new accounts on other platforms.

I wonder what PDP, IPOB and children of hat has to do with the suffering of small businesses What a reasoning from you. FYI the FG just inaugurated a team to discuss with Twitter on the lifting of the indefinite suspension of Twitter in Nigeria. Is this the cause of IPOB and PDP too?

Calm down oga. Just calm down and read with a sarcastic smile

Damn Nigeria is finished with carnibals like you... What did your parents do to you to turn you into a zombie? Is it your tribe or religion that's made you mad?

Everything is now up side down planty sellers but no buyers...
You go out with the little money you have hoping to sell market, you will end up coming back home empty handed...
The one you manage to even sell you sell it cost price for you to meet up family needs small, small your shop, business will be going down before you will know what is happening you are out of business.

This has been happening to Nigeria gradually since post independence. Just check the last 20years and see if Nigeria has been progressing or not

Read it again closely. That guy's post is sarcasm.

Though with the rampant crazy, sycophantic behaviour, it's difficult to tell on Nairaland. undecided
The guy used sarcasm! Those that liked blaming ipob for their downfall should add this one too.

Correctamundo, if a small business owner/entrepreneur has/had a decent product or service and good reputation, his or her customers/clients will make the adjustment to continue the business relationship. I've even noticed Nairaland picking up Ad business.

I don't think you understand how social Media works.
Building business credibility on any social media platform takes months If not years. It's wrong to debase someones means of income so carelessly

He obviously don't understand online business. It takes double effort to build a brand & have the confidence of clients online. And you don't just open Facebook, Instagram, etc and suddenly clients will just jump at your product & services without good numbers of followers and remarks. Not mentioning several paid ad to give it the needed publicity.

Many people are only proficient in the use of a social media platform for making money. I like Tiktok for instance. Others prefer Facebook groups, Tumblr, Pinterest and so on. I tried Pinterest but found it very useful challenging.

Changing to another app for marketing takes time. Worse, you might never make cash from it. One may have already grown a mighty presence on one over the years with thousands if not millions of followers. Switching isn't easy.

If you sell on Twitter, you can still use your community Hashtags or sell under the comments of influencers like AproKo Doctor and Our Favourite Online Doctor.
You don't understand. The number of active Twitter users right now is a small fraction of what was previously there. The market has been eroded. Relatively few people are able or interested in using a VPN.
